The property

Thornbrook is substantial detached family holiday home with private gardens, parking and sea views, set in a stunning location overlooking National Trust land and the nature reserve adjoining Thurlestone Sands beach.

Situated just 350m from the beach and just over a mile long walk from Thurlestone itself, with its post office/stores, church, 4-Star hotel, popular Village Inn, and challenging 18-hole golf course, the property is well located for exploring the area on foot.

The nearby South West Coast Path offers stunning coastal walks and spectacular views, with the delightful fishing village of Hope Cove around 15-20 minutes away in one direction, and the ever-popular surfing beach at Bantham a little further in the other.

The famous sailing town of Salcombe, with more beautiful sandy beaches and beautiful estuary, is just a short drive away, and the house is also within easy reach of the market town of Kingsbridge. With a recently upgraded kitchen, dining room, utility room, cloakroom and a cosy living area with wood-burning stove and double French doors leading out to the garden, the property has ample living space.

This three storey accommodation is comfortably furnished with five bedrooms (three of which are en suite).

There is also an adjoining games room with table football and table-tennis, mature landscaped gardens and off-road parking for 3-4 cars.

A hot tub is available from 2019 - this can be used from noon on Sunday after arrival (to allow sufficient time for cleaning and safe use).

Off-road parking on driveway for 3-4 cars. Thornbrook is an exceptionally well-equipped dog-friendly and baby friendly property, ideal for a family looking for a beachside break. N.B The hot tub must be drained on departure.

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
