The appartment is in need of some minor TLC. This would not stop me visiting again as its very well equipped and has amazing views. Perfect location for coastal walks to Hope Cove and Bantham.

"Great place which we’ve used before but few simple things that it would be useful to share with the owner which they may/may not be aware of which would really make a difference: Bunk beds - metal, so noisy and creaky that you can’t use them for two children as they just wake each other up with how noisy the beds are when you move or climb down the ladder."
Bit dangerous too compared to wood, son bashed his leg on metal frame. Drying rack - needs replacing as so wonky/bracket almost broken so you can’t hang much on it. Would be useful to have another one as nowhere to hang wetsuits/beach towels etc except over chairs on balcony. Would be great to have a shoe rack out in the corridor like other appartments do. Hooks on back of bathroom doors to hang towels would be handy. Thanks!
Apologies for the delay in responding but I think you have the wrong Apartment as we don’t have a metal bunk bed. Ours is a good quality wooden bed. Property Owner

Wonderful place and had a great time again. Just x3 small issues; 1; The front door handle is very loose 2; We had a problem with the TV in the Kitchen/Diner 3; The outside roof patio floor needs a good clean.

"WE have stayed at the flat a number of times and it has a great location."
However the flat is somewhat tired and on this occasion we could not get into the key safe on arrival and had to get help (it needs replacing), then the boiler and heating broke which necessitated us having to stick around for the repair man (who to be fair was great and came on the day that we reported it). I'm not sure we will book that particular flat again, however we would use Sykes as they were responsive.

It was very comfortable and clean with incredible views from every window. Excellent value for money, considering the space and the time of year we went (August). The property was very well managed by Coast and Country, they called to check everything was ok and I reported some minor issues with a patio door, plumbing and the microwave and they sent someone out within three hours to resolve them! It was a lovely apartment and would definitely return. Thank you!

Watching the sun set listening to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach was quite magical. The apartment was very comfortable and relaxing. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

We had a great stay and would think about returning if they make some changes. As great as our stay was we did have a few issues which sadly did ruin the trip. Sky box didn't work properly, we got some channels but not others (not great when you want to watch Wimbledon!). The TV is old and outdated. The table in the picture on the balcony was missing. The microwave and toaster needs replacing as they barely work. We say it ruined the trip as when you are on holiday it should be easy and you shouldn't have to worry about these types of things like you would at home. We sent a more detailed list of other issues to Coast and Country who Sykes directed us too. If the above is sorted we would book again in a heart beat as the town and surrounding areas are stunning.

It was furnished to a high standard and very well equipped. The Bang and Olufsen system was a bonus and provided great sound. The kitchen was extremely well equipped which was brill as we cooked in throughout our stay due to Covid. The balcony provided a lovely outside space with great views down to the sea and across to Thurlstone golf course. We wanted somewhere fairly isolated due to Covid and this was perfect. We loved our stay and will return.

Small tip would be to list the address correctly as took ages to work out if we were at right place. It is actually written outside in numbers and ‘penthouse B’. No mention of ocean view apartment until the inner door! Also it says thurlestone beach house not thurleston beach apartments. Could of been a bit cleaner but overall ok WiFi/broadband wasn’t working which caused slight issues as I was also trying to do some work so had to go somewhere else to do it which wasn’t ideal Otherwise great location, lovely apartment and would use again

Needs to be cleaned alot better and also touch up of paint required.. Windows were difficult to open and close - 1 was broken also one of the oven nobs was also broken but still worked. Very comfortable bed and powerful shower.

A couple of little things : noisy pipes within master bedroom after using the on-suite facilities, annoying at bedtime. Sash windows, when opening bottom part, the top slid down on several occasions and were difficult to push back up. Main Bathroom shower screen did not seal very well and tended to drift open when shower in use. Front main entrance door fooled us. On arrival, we found it pushed too but unlocked and assumed this was the norm. We made a couple of trips taking luggage and items to apartment, only to then find, it had locked whilst we had returned to the car. Unfortunately we had left the keys in the apartment door and was unable to re-enter the main building. Yourselves, were very good and quickly answered when we called, however another resident kindly opened the door for us whilst we were talking to your office. We subsequently discovered the door was often pushed too and did not automatically lock as it should do, unless pressure was applied. We wonder if maybe a notice could be put near or on the door? (We did make sure we had keys with us at all times, thereafter). We would like to say how much we enjoyed the stay in the apartment and would certainly be happy to recommend to others.

Better than expected - very spacious and with luxurious touches the kitchen and lounge were high spec and comfortable. Balcony outside seating area was a real bonus - big enough for 6 to sit comfortably in shelter. Thurlstone village is very pretty with a fantastic pub!
