  • "The only criticism is the shared courtyard which had 2 very grubby chairs and table in."

    It wasn’t somewhere you would choose to sit. However the proximity to the beach meant it wasn’t a problem. We were otherwise very satisfied with the flat.

  • "I’m sorry to say the sofas were the most uncomfortable sofas to sit on and I have had a bad back since."

    The door on the bedroom doesn’t shut. On the plus side everything else was good!

  • "Lovely flat with stunning views."

    Only negative was the bedroom window did not open. Every other aspect was wonderful. Would recommend staying at the property which was lovely and clean and very inviting. Loved the local area and people were very friendly.

  • "Fantastic apartment, with great facilities in a fabulous location."

    The parking permit was appreciated and being able to park close by was handy. Torcross is a lovely place and we really hope to visit again. We ate at The Start Bay Inn and The Billy Can Cafe which were both great. We also walked to Bee Sands and highly recommend The Cricket Arms.

  • "Our second time here this year, and as the first time, it didn`t dissapoint."

    Amazing place with out of this world views!. Totally spotless and clean. Plenty of towels and linen. Everything you could possibly wish for if you decide to cook. The parking permit is a godsend!! Pub, chippy and cafe is less than a minute walk away. We saw sea lions every day and watched the children feed them from the beach!. (we even swam with it one day!!) We will definitely be back again! (Already planning next years holiday here!) We would definitely recommend this for a fantastic holiday!

  • "The continuous barking dog was a pain, you can train the dog to stop the barking!"

    This is from the family from three/four apartments to the right as you look out the front window, I'm pretty sure they are locals. Both the sofas have seen better days, when you sit its supposed to be on the top & not virtually sitting closer to the floor. The Other than that it was a superb apartment & yes we would come back.

  • "Amazing, AMAZING property!"

    !. Spotlessly clean. Very quiet place to stay. It has everything you could possibly want for cooking and drinking. Huge Fridge Freezer. Pub and cafe a minutes walk away. And those views OMG!! Those VIEWS!! We will definatly be booking again. This is a real Gem!! 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • "The location of the property is perfect for starting walks up and down the South West coast path."

    The lounge area is charming with a wonderful sea view and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment and appliances. The bed was especially comfortable and we got some excellent nights' sleep all week. It felt like a home from home!

  • "Place was lovely but there was only 3 channels on the tv ."

    Would have liked a bit more wood for the first night .

  • "Lovely position."

    One we would return to. Would have liked another pillow each. We went out and bought two as the ones on the bed looked lovely but went quite flat when sleeping on them. My husband has copd so found this particularly difficult. Lovely view and nice and warm. Loved the wood burner. Lounge furniture lovely and comfortable.

2 Bayview is a first-floor apartment situated on the seafront in Torcross, Devon.

With uninterrupted views of the beach and sea, this pet-friendly accommodation is a charming spot for couples seeking a coastal break.

Take the exterior steps up to your front door into the hall, off which you will find the sitting room where you can open the door to the Juliet balcony to gaze at the view, then draw the curtains and snuggle up beside the woodburning stove and enjoy meals around the breakfast bar when evening falls.

An ancient timber screen separates it from the well-equipped kitchen, appointed with everything for a week away.

As the night grows dark, the double bedroom is well-presented with a neat shower room located close by.

For sunny days, you have shared access to a little enclosed courtyard, a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine.

The heart of Torcross is defined by a long shingle beach that overlooks the serene waters of Start Bay.

With panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding rolling hills, the beach provides a perfect setting for leisurely walks, picnics, and taking in the fresh sea air.

Within the village there are traditional pubs and restaurants specialising in seafood, with fresh catch often on the menu.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity of Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, a freshwater lake just inland from the beach, offering birdwatching and wildlife spotting opportunities.

Seven miles away lies the market town of Kingsbridge, with its regular markets showcasing a variety of local produce, crafts, and artisanal goods, along with historical attractions, including St. Edmund's Church with its impressive spire standing testament to the town's medieval roots.

Torcross is at the southern end of Slapton Sands, in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This area of coastline is a historic site where the Normandy landings were practiced, and is within easy reach of the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Slapton Sands is a 1.2 mile-long stretch of shingle beach, which is dog-friendly all year round. This area is fantastic for nature lovers, with Slapton Ley Nature Reserve adjacent to the beach.
