"Overall we liked the accommodation."
Although we were given a code to open the gate, the gate was being left permanently open and we had been given no notice of this.
The property was fairly well presented but had lots of spiders and cobwebs in fairly unreachable places for us,. but should be taken care of by the service company.
The hot tub had limited options and switched itself of after half an hour

"It was all excellent, couldn’t fault it, accommodation was spot on, gardens were great to just sit and watch the wildlife, we noted 54 different species of birds."
Local beaches are also amazing. Thank you for a great holiday.

"On arrival the smell of dog was overwhelming, I was aware the property is dog friendly and this is wot I normally book."
We had to go and buy cleaning materials and air-freshener.
Unpacking came to a stop as only 2 coat hanger for hanging my clothes so I went to pop them in the draws. No couldn’t do that as the inside was covered in stains.
The shower was clean but not the corners, black mould.
We booked otters leap as it has a hot tub. Wot a disappointment the head rest had mould on them and we’re very perished also it was just knackered so never got to use it,
Such a shame property other then that was nice

"What can I say!"
We have stayed in so many places across the UK. And I can honestly say this is the best place yet! Everything was provided for your stay! Beds were comfortable, kitchen excellent, views were breathtaking!
Our little pooches loved the freedom of the enclosed areas in garden!
Just thank you so much! We will certainly be back

"We have just had a really lovely week at Otters Leap."
When we arrived it was very clean including the hot tub and bbq. It had everything we needed and was really spacious and comfortable. It's in a very quiet area and the road to the property is quite steep. We did feel that maybe some more comfortable seating downstairs would be beneficial but that's just our personal opinion. You could still see the wonderful view upstairs. We have really enjoyed our stay here. My Husband and eldest Son participated in the local parkrun which they walked to from the cottage and there's lots of shops nearby. We visited many areas which were a short drive away including Ilfracombe , Lynton & Lynmouth and Westward Ho! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

"A lovely 12 days spent at Otters Leap - the great weather certainly helped!"
Two adults, two teen girls, and the dog. The cottage is lovely, spacious, and comfortable. Some nice evenings spent playing the board games supplied, table football, Netflix, and in the hot tub. Amazing big garden for the dog to run around in - shared by other holiday tenants but we hardly saw anyone use it. The one thing that would have helped our stay would have been a larger fridge/freezer. Couldn't get much fresh food in the small fridge but it wasn't a problem as we passed the Morrisons store on the way to and from Westward Ho! beach. Also, it meant that we could use some of the local takeaways that deliver to the property!

"Beautiful location and central for seeing other areas."
Shame thst such a beautiful house hasnr paid attention to small details.
Only 1 coat hanger in one bedroom and only several in the other.Bottom draw broke in wardrobe.
Pillows not comfy and no spares.
Needs a sofa in down stairs kitchen.
Really poor painting throuhout hope they didnt pay anyone for this.
Areas especially large window had an abundance of dead flies on sill on our arrival.
On the plus side fantastic gardens.
Lovely large and very warm and clean hot tub.
Very comfy beds.
Everything you would need for your holday.
We had a fab holiday but feels these are issues that needed to be mentioned.

"Absolutely beautiful cottage beautiful grounds tranquil environment hot tub very relaxing kitchen extremely well stocked."
There were a couple of issues there was a stain on one of the beds looked like blood so I washed it best I could. Unfortunately we were unable to use the bbq extremely dirty and greasy. On arrival the kettle was dirty/burnt on the inside cleaned it and used it until our last day when it packed up we called to let the team know what a fantastic service within 1/2 hour a new kettle arrived. We were celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary the week we stayed we couldn't of chosen a more beautiful place we had a wonderful week thank you owner and team kind regards Susan Merchant

"Lovely house, well-situated just outside Bideford - up the hill a little so lovely views of the surrounding countryside."
Great outdoor space - small enclosed area for safety of pets and wee folk, with a great hot tub - and then a larger garden expanse to wander around for views and fresh air. 2 good bathrooms, comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen. Slightly more ‘comfy’ downstairs seating space would be good - feels like it’s calling out for a sofa with that view. And the kitchen tap can be frighteningly hot. But did not detract from our stay.

"A beautiful property but a few little tweaks required we believe."
The oven is not fan assisted and the light does not work in it. It would be good to upgrade oven to fan assisted and the hob to induction. A TV downstairs would be nice so that you can enjoy the fire whilst watching TV. A nice idea would TV in the bedrooms as well to offer choice to guests.
Label bins outside with what goes in which one as different areas have different bins for rubbish, recycling etc!!
As an aside spelling in the information pack needs looking at as the property was ‘manged’ not managed and Barnstaple is written as Barnstable.
Overall a lovely property and happy to return so our suggestions are just that to take it to the next level.
