“Lovely accommodation - had everything you could need and nicely furnished.”
Thanks also for the welcome tea, coffee, milk & biscuits- Mr Ruff, August 2020
“In this current situation of covid pandemic, I thought the ground flat was not clean.”
The cooker was not clean, skirtings with dust on them. Smelt of damp and closed up for quite a while. the kitchen window did not open. The front door area had weeds around not a nice place to be sit. The equipment in the kitchen was very good everything you could possibly need. Bathroom is good, windows needed to be cleaned inside and out. I left this ground floor flat cleaner then we went in. Will considered things more carefully next time we book anywhere.- Mr Dale, September 2020
“Hot water was slow to come through and the sink could do with a drainer.”- Mr Willmott, August 2020
“This is in the cheaper budget category, so you can't expect Buckingham Palace for the money.”
The place is fine overall, with the comfiest bed ever, unusually-good cooking facilities, a good bathroom and reasonable lounge/dining furniture. It is misleading to claim there is an outside area: it is a narrow, unkempt and overgrown passageway with an outlook onto abandoned cars and other rubbish. This would suit those who like to get out and about, using this nice little place to return to in the evening.- Mr O'brien, July 2020
“The flat was lovely and perfectly positioned in Watchet close to the centre, the steam railway, and various walks.”
Stacey was very helpful and extremely welcoming. I would enjoy going back again for another relaxing holiday.- Mrs Agg, October 2019
“A well appointed apartment in a lovely seaside town.”
Conveniently located and everything you could need in a base for exploring North Somerset and Exmoor- Mr Lord, July 2019
“Not easy to find, good thing owner sent directions, the ones on Sykes page were all wrong.”
I think also to call the small space outside a garden/patio was an exaggeration But the accomodation was excellent everything thought of for a lovely holiday. The folder with info is a good idea and good to have internet- Mrs Wells, June 2019
“Unfortunately due to a problem at home we had to return home early”- Mr Garrett, June 2019
“The directions given for dashwood were vague at best, we would have ended up on the sea front not at the flat”- Mr Wellman, April 2019
“We were disappointed in the inflexibility of the agents for the property.”
Although the bookings were shown as being from Saturday we booked from Wednesday to Wednesday (20-27 March). Shortly after we had booked we learned that a friend's funeral was taking place on the Thursday (21st). We checked and the accommodation was still vacant for the days following our booking, so we rang and asked to change our booking from the Wednesday to either later on the Thursday or the Friday, leaving the following Thursday or Friday. We were told that, since it was within six weeks of the booking, we could not change our dates, even though they were still free and did not encroach on the next weekend booking date. We then decided to attend the funeral and travel down on the Friday, still leaving on the 27th (Wed), thus shortening our stay. The accommodation itself was exactly suited to our needs, and the owner's directions were far more helpful than the agent's, so we greatly enjoyed our stay and extended our break by staying at other places on our way back to London.- Mr Woolmington, March 2019
“It would have been helpful to have the lounge heater working as it was a cold week!”
Otherwise I enjoyed my stay in Dashwood very much.- Miss Bolton, March 2019
Thank you for your feedback I am very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and scored our property so highly. I have checked the lounge heater and it is working fine, it appears you may not have used the remote control for this. I amended the welcome book to make this more clear and prominent. If you had contacted me I would have been happy to assist you with this. Once again thank you for your feedback, it would be lovely to have you back in future. Kind regards. Sykes owner relations

“Appartment was as we expected clean with a welcoming cake, flowers, and milk and tea for a welcome cuppa”- Mr Taylor, July 2018
“We loved the modern decorations and how tasteful everything was.”
Bed was amazingly comfortable, a great place to come back to for relaxing in the evening. Would recommend this as highly as possible. Everything was very thought through and all our needs were met. Owner went over and above to accommodate us.- Mrs Ogram, April 2018
