    “Both heating and lighting in the lounge were poor.”

    One bulb had failed, and we found no replacement. We could not see to read a newspaper and had to cover ourselves with a blanket. Why did we get a visit to say the boiler was to be serviced? Was it? We saw no-one.

The traditional seaside resort of Minehead, with its attractive beach and harbour, can be reached within twenty minutes’ drive, offering a wonderful range of coastal activities, cafés and restaurants.

Take a ride on the West Somerset Railway, which carries visitors by steam to Dunster Castle and Watchet or a return trip back to Williton.

The thriving community of Williton nestles beneath the western edge of the Quantock Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, only 2 miles from the west Somerset coast at Watchet. Intersected by the roads to Minehead and Bridgwater, the village is well served by local shops and pubs, with the attractive West Somerset Railway also passing through, providing a lovely relaxing trip along the coast from the popular seaside resort of Minehead through glorious unspoilt countryside - a treat not to be missed! Within a short drive is Exmoor National Park with its heather-clad moorland, wooded coombes and picturesque villages, home to an abundance of wildlife, or take in the pretty coastal settlements of Watchet, Blue Anchor and Porlock Weir.
