    The house,facilities, and equipment,was very good although we missed having a teapot. We enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable week. We would like to say thank-you for the lovely flowers and wine left by the owner on our arrival.

The property

Ideally situated in the heart of Winkleigh, yet tucked away from it all, Garden Square cottage is everything that you need for a peaceful holiday, whatever the season.

With plenty of character and exposed timber all around, this cottage is a homely escape, a perfect reason for all the family to come together.

Enter inside to the lovely hallway and you will be welcomed by a beautiful lounge, boasting beams and an Inglenook fireplace which houses a woodburner to warm those cooler evenings.

Relax on the comfortable sofas and have a moment to yourself reading one of the books from the little alcove.

The kitchen/diner is complete to a loving standard with a glimpse of charm and tradition that gives the room a country feel.

Enjoy spending time with your loved ones here from morning through to evening.

The ground floor is also home to a classic shower room.

Take the stairs to the next floor, and there is a selection of rooms to choose from, consisting of two doubles and two singles.

Each promise a good nights sleep along with tasteful furnishings that compliment the cottage's heart-warming overtone.

Relax in the enclosed garden for some fresh air, perhaps with a refreshing drink as you soak in the lovely location.

Winkleigh is a small rural village in the heart of Devon's rolling countryside and offers a shop, post office, butcher and a cafe, plus two pubs, one which offers food and the chance to sample traditional ciders and scrumpy from the Winkleigh Cider Company. A van which serves delicious fish and chips also comes to the village twice a week. Winding lanes, high hedgerows and a more gentle pace of life characterise the area.
