The ancient town of Sherborne, with its castle (once home to Sir Walter Raleigh) and abbey can be found a short drive away, along with the fascinating hilltop town of Shaftesbury, Stourhead gardens, Glastonbury and Stonehenge, all within easy reach. A superb base for exploring this lovely part of the world.
