  • "Very clean well equipped cottage."

The garden is small but totally enclosed. Local pub is within easy walking distance but there is no longer a village shop

  • "Property is ideal as a place to explore the lovely countryside of Dorset and also Historic Houses of which we have just recently become a member of and so took advantage of visiting some of the houses and gradens in the area."

It is also central to visit Swanage, Weymouth,Poole, Dorchester and Shaftesbury all places we enjoyed seeing. We know there are many other places to see and to visit in this area and we look forward to returning in the future to this lovely area to explore more of what Dorset has to offer. The cottage is well equiped and we really enjoyed our stay in Cosynook.

It was ample for our short stay to support family nearby and had everything we needed. I was a little nervous of the Astro turf with a dog, I wasn't sure if I needed to do anything to specifically clean it, but the hose was very handy!

  • "We had a lovely stay at Cosy Nook Cottage - it really was perfect."

Winterborne Kingston is a pretty village with a great pub - The Greyhound- just down the road , it was very handy for an evening meal and we even joined in with the Coronation celebrations there! Lots of places to visit close by - the week went in a flash. We were unable to park our car - Focus Estate - as the road was too narrow to manoeuvre it in but we found a parking place close by the Church - a smaller length car would not have been a problem. No hesitation in recommending this cottage

The attention to detail at this property was exceptional, and we cannot fault it. The hosts had thought of everything, including decorating the cottage for Christmas and providing a lovely welcome hamper, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The secure garden and some great walks on the doorstep make this a brilliant option for dog owners too. Perfectly located to explore all that this beautiful part of the country has to offer, we would highly recommend Cosynook Cottage - our only regret was not staying longer!

  • "What a lovely cottage to stay in."

So well equipped and in a quiet rural location. The garden is perfect for a small dog, which we have. The cottage is very comfortable and within a short distance to both the A31 and A35 allowing trips to the coast a breeze. The off-road parking is a challenge initially but became 2nd nature after a few attempts. It would say anything larger than a family hatchback would be much more challenging. The only thing I would recommend is for a stairgate to be fitted, especially as the stairs are directly in front of the front/porch door.

The parking space is not the biggest, as advised but I comfortably fitted our Juke in with room to spare. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. The village the cottage is in is lovely and the locals are very, very friendly and the Greyhound is an excellent village pub/shop. We also liked the World’s end. But the connectivity to many of Dorsets finest locations was a real plus for us.

Location ideal to explore near and far: Blandford Forum and local shops 10 mins; historic Dorchester 20 mins; and Bournemouth and Poole a little further but offering a lot to do and lovely coastal walks. The owners have clearly gone the extra mile in fitting out this cottage. Lovely little secluded garden at rear is a real sun trap. As clearly indicated there is parking space for one small car alongside cottage, but this was not a problem in our Audi Q2 (small SUV) Set in a delightful small village, with a lovely pub within walking distance serving excellent meals, (which also functions as the village shop. )

Very well appointed, extremely comfortable and upon arrival it was absolutely spotless. Nice welcome pack too (thank you). I can't fault it. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and you felt like you were in your own little haven with plenty of walks on the doorstep. Would also like to mention about the parking - several comments below have said it’s not suitable for their vehicles- we didn’t struggle at all and managed to park our medium sized saloon on the parking space every day, we are sure you would even be able to fit a small 4x4 their too, so please don’t let that put you off! .. of 13 comments in the guest book this year, 6 were critical of the parking ...nothing on the website suggested there would be any difficulty, and the photographs of the drive are out of date and misleading (the neighbour has erected a fence alongside the drive, adding to the problems) - cottage information definitely needs updating.

Owners have spent time and money on a recent update. Parking adjacent to the cottage is tight but is not suitable for large vehicles! Minor criticism kitchen cutlery is difficult to clean due to bonded surfaces type design also the addition of basic butter/dinner knifes in addition to the steak knifes supplied would be an improvement.
