“The Rowans was a lovely place to stay at.”

Liked how secluded it was. So peaceful and quiet. Would love to come back in the summer.

Liked how secluded it was. So peaceful and quiet. Would love to come back in the summer. However think it would be wise to inform people about the road to get to the place as it was very bumpy and full of holes. Not a smooth ride! Maybe the road would be in better condition in the summer months.

The property

Tucked away amongst whispering pine trees within Avon Heath Country Park, near the beautiful New Forest, is this charming detached bungalow, once a former ranger's residence.

Furnished and equipped to a good standard, including a woodburner in the bright sitting room, this super bungalow has plenty of space around it, with forest views from all the rooms offering possible glimpses of the deer, birds and other wildlife who inhabit the park!

This bungalow has a large private garden, and direct access to large areas of heather and heathland, an attractive well-managed habitat for many rare species of animal and plant life, including 5 miles of designated walking and cycle trails that meander across the park.

Also, visitors to this bungalow are welcome to participate in the calendar of organised events, and to use the numerous park facilities, including a children’s play area, and a visitor centre with cafe.
