  • "Such a lovely cottage!"

It included all the facilities we needed, while being clean and tidy. The host was more than helpful and the cottage itself was only a short distance from all the places we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay there again.

  • "Excellent location just outside Weston ideally suited as a base for a week on the North Somerset coastline and inland to the Mendips."

The Old Cow Shed is a separate building on a working farm so as long as you don't mind the occasional rumble of a passing tractor or the sound of cows or sheep in the background it's a great location. It's comfortable and very well equipped (some of the best kitchen knives I've ever found at a property) with excellent wifi connection. The owner is on hand if you need anything (I didn't) but very unobtrusive.

  • "Very comfortable property with everything we needed for a one week stay."

Convenient location for Cheddar, Bristol ( via Park and Ride ) and Weston-Super-Mare. Happy to recommend.

  • "It's the second time that we have stayed at the Old Cow Shed and this time was a good as the last."

Lovely, clean well equiped cottage on a working farm. Sounds of cows and sheep this time was lovely to hear. Plan to stay here again. The host is very helpful.

  • "The old cowshed has been skilfully converted into a spacious and comfortable holiday cottage- although we were using it as an interim part of a house move."

The owners are delightful and unobtrusively helpful. We couldn't give it 5 stars, because we needed to make a lot of calls and the mobile reception. (on 02) was non existent, but Alan (the farmer-owner) plans to put in a device to overcome this. In all other respects, it is first class.

  • "This was one of the loveliest places we have stayed in."

It was clean had all the things you may have forgotten to bring ie. Kitchen roll etc. It was cosy and warm. We would definitely stay again.

  • "The property was perfect for us."

Spotlessly clean, well equiped with good sized rooms. We loved that it is on an working farm - this enhanced our stay giving added interest. The host is lovely and very helpful. Great Wifi reception, rural but close to shops, pubs, restaurants, the coast and Mendip Hills. The weather turned cold on our stay but the heating worked well and that, along with thick carpet and ample throws/quilts provided, kept us toasty. We will be staying at the Old Cow Shed again.

  • "This is a superb renovation from cow shed to holiday let, and has been done to a very high standard."

It is well equipped, spotlessly clean, and good quality furnishings and fittings have been used throughout. We found it to be extremely comfortable during our stay. Very conveniently located for Weston, Bristol, Clevedon, Axbridge, Wells, and many other places. Would recommend The Old Cowshed without reservation. The only very minor practical improvements if I were being really picky, would be some hooks on the bedroom/bathroom doors, and a couple more mirrors. Thank you for a lovely weeks holiday.

  • "The cow shed was spotlessly clean."

Fittings, decoration, kitchen equipment was done to a high standard. Setting of cow shed was very peaceful and quiet. Owners were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Central to Bath etc. But the roads can be quite scary!!! However we expected a fridge freezer but only got a fridge with freezer compartment and the fridge was very small. The sofa in the lounge is also small and not great for 2 people. There are 2 pubs but only open after 4.00. We had a lovely break away and it was very relaxing and quiet. The village is very picturesque.

  • "The Old Cow Shed was very clean and comfortable."

The only thing we would like to have been made aware it is a working farm and situated directly opposite the owners house. The excellent weather made the holiday for us. It was also good to be able to walk to the 2 pubs in the village for meals .

  • "While some of the local roads are very narrow we found the location was ideal for visiting many near by attractions."

The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well equipped for a short stay. We also found the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The milk and drink that was in the fridge on arrival was very appreciated before we could do our own shop. A very quiet gem of a location tucked away from all the hustle. Highly recommended

  • "This is a perfect retreat for couples looking for a quiet base to explore Somerset and beyond."

Mendips just around the corner, multiple vineyards, cider orchards and walking/trekking/cycling paths. An hour from the south coast (exmouth, torquay and Teignmouth). The cottage is on a working farm and the owners are lovely and give you great tips for the area. Local pub The Bell Inn serves great ale and the best pizza at great prices. Perfect getaway!
