“The best equipped cottage have stayed in.”

Beds were very comfortable indeed, slept soundly. The owner could not have done more to make the stay any better. The views from the cottage are magnificent. Bath & Wells Cathedrals together with the Bishops Palace are a definite must to see. The architecture in Bath is beautiful. Spent a whole day in Wookey Hole Caves. Magnificent, great place for young & old. ...

Bath & Wells Cathedrals together with the Bishops Palace are a definite must to see. The architecture in Bath is beautiful. Spent a whole day in Wookey Hole Caves. Magnificent, great place for young & old. Will definitely be booking this cottage again next year possibly for longer this time as a week just is not long enough. Glastonbury a great place for the modern day Hippie, thoroughly enjoyed the Vegan restaurants. Would like to thank the owners for making the stay one of the best we have had.

The property

This 260-year-old former dairy has been carefully renovated to create a stylish, contemporary holiday home.

Locally produced materials complement the original stone flooring, stable doors and beams, sitting harmoniously alongside modern, tasteful furnishings.

The Dairy has a well-fitted galley-style kitchen which adjoins the lounge where there are window seats and a cosy electric stove.

On the first floor are two bedrooms, one of which has spectacular far-reaching rural views.

To the front, the warm sun room enjoys magnificent, panoramic views over the Somerset Levels, whilst at the rear, at the top of 13 steep, original stone steps, you'll find a pretty patio garden.

Nearby is a nature reserve, bridleway and a footpath which leads to the top of Cheddar Gorge; this world-famous site is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that reveals many fascinating stories of our prehistoric ancestors and is an international centre for caving and rock climbing.

Alternatively, just a short drive away, the ancient village of Cheddar with its famous caves and award winning cheese factory is ideal for exploring.
