“A beautiful cottage with everything you need.”

Kind, approachable owners and a lovely local pub. Also an added bonus of fresh eggs daily and the local fish and chip van every Thursday! I would highly recommend this cottage as we took our 12 and 14 year olds and they too had fun. About a 10 - 15 minute drive from Shaftsbury and the Fovant badges the other way.

Each cottage comes with an open-plan living space, offering a social hub for everyone to come together to spend quality time, whether it be cooking, dining, relaxing or planning the next day’s adventure. Continuing to impress, there is a fully enclosed trampoline, with netted sides for younger guests to use and the owner has chickens and are happy to provide fresh eggs. If you can bring yourself to leave this charming setting, take a short walk to the local pub for a well-deserved drink after exploring the area, or for when you do not feel like cooking the pub offers a takeaway menu a couple of times a week. Within the surrounding area, you will find a plethora of activities and attractions for all ages and tastes to enjoy, from scenic walks, animal parks and historical landmarks. For those wishing to explore, the AONB plays host to a magnitude of walking routes, including Badbury Rings, which is an Iron Age hill fort and the extensive parkland and woodland of Dinton Park. Find a number of historical landmarks within the area, which are worth a visit, including the famous prehistoric monument, Stonehenge and the ruins of the 14th-century castle of Wardour. Alternatively, visit the pretty market town of Sherborne, home to an 8th century Abbey and Sherbone Castle & Gardens. The city of Salisbury is also a short drive away, which boasts a captivating Cathedral and other attractions including the Arundells, the Mompesson House, and the Rifles Military Museum. Also within striking distance are Christchurch, New Forest and Tisbury with a direct train line to London. Both cottages offer a memorable break to this glorious part of the countryside for you and your loved ones.
