  • "Quiet location with some better privacy (comparatively) vis-a-vis the other 2 cottages."

The patio with french doors opening onto it was a real bonus. Shower fault meant water was only luke warm but owners got onto it immediately it should be fixed by now for follow on guests. If you do your own cooking, be sure to bring your own favourite cooking pots. You may be visited by escapee chickens - but they are friendly. Could benefit from more instruction leaflets for the equipment - oven, TV, heaters. TV was too complex and a real struggle to operate without the manual. Overall enjoyed our stay.

  • "Lovely setting, lovely nearby walks, location not far from beaches and attractions!"

Would recommend The Grove Arms for lovely food and the local pub The Talbot Inn. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

  • "Kids loved it, especially the trampoline, hens and ping pong."

We loved the proximity to the pub, the landlords also own the properties so it was nice to meet them. Great location in terms of exploring the area, we visited Salisbury, The Jurassic Coast, and the New Forest amongst others, all in a weeks stay. Also nice and near to local supermarket, and takeaways that deliver, as well as the village having a local fish and chip van which visits weekly. Would thoroughly recommend.

  • "Nice, comfortable, light and airy cottage in lovely and peaceful village."

Some suggestions for improvement might be: more cosy lighting in the living room would be nice for evenings, a shelf in the bathroom would be useful as well as a dishwasher in the kitchen - the washing machine could perhaps be in the shared utility. There are two open coil mattresses (king size bed and single bed) which are quite bouncy, the double bed is firm, which we preferred. The shower is brilliant, the terrace is great and the children enjoyed playing basketball, table tennis, jumping on the trampoline and visiting the hens! We also enjoyed having fresh eggs for breakfast!
