The property

Situated on Woodlands Campsite, Durdle Door Lodge is a well-presented holiday home surrounded by glorious Dorset countryside, resting in the peaceful village of Wool.

This wonderfully positioned semi-detached property providing a fantastic base for a family or group of friends looking for a peaceful retreat near to the stunning Jurassic Coast.

Stepping inside the property, be welcomed into the spacious living/dining room where the patio doors open up onto an enclosed decked area complete with furniture, perfect for a spot of alfresco dining in the warmer months.

Settle down at the dining table to tuck into a feast, prepared by the designated chef in the well-equipped kitchen.

Also on the ground floor, find a shower room, perfect for beating the queues!

Moving upstairs, discover three light and airy bedrooms; one family room with a double bed, single day bed, and bunk bed, a further double bedroom and a twin bedroom where you can relax after a long day.

Guests can also make use of the three acres of outside area where there is play equipment for children to enjoy, and plenty of open space for your four legged friend.

The village of Wool is paces away from your doorstep, where you can discover local shops as well as three pubs, a butcher, bakery and a train station, so you can leave your car parked up and make use of the public transport links, including the Jurassic Coast bus, which connects you easily to Poole and Weymouth.

Take an interesting trip to The Tank Museum in Bovington, home to a large collection of tanks including the first one ever built - truly it's a unique day out, and you may even see some of the tanks being test driven along local roads!

Animal lovers won't want to miss visiting the amazing Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, a haven for endangered apes in a wonderful open-air park, perfect for all ages!

Venture down to the idyllic shores of Lulworth Cove for a beautiful day on the shore in this unusual land formation and capture a holiday snap next to the famous Durdle Door – one of the most photographed landmarks in Dorset.

Lulworth Castle is a wonderful day out where you can explore the extensive grounds, woodland walks, and marvel at the historic 17th -century castle before stopping off at The Castle Tearoom for an afternoon treat.

East Lulworth 4 miles; Wareham 6.2 miles; Weymouth 16.1 miles.

Wool is a small Dorset village with It’s own railways station and Jurassic Coast bus (X54) linking Poole and Weymouth. The River Frome runs through the village and has famous connections as the 17th Century Woolbridge manor where ‘Tess of the D’Ubervilles’ spent her honeymoon her honeymoon in the Thomas Hardy’s novel. Thomas Hardy’s Cottage can be found just outside Dorchester around 12 miles from Wool and offers an interesting day out. Some of Purbeck’s most loved attractions are also on the doorstep of Wool, with the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill, the home of Lawrence of Arabia and Monkey World rescue centre. A short 5 mile drive will see you in West Lulworth where you can enjoy the spectacular geological sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
