Court House Farm

Court House Farm rests within the serenity of the Dorset AONB, just three miles from the lovely coastal town of Charmouth along the South West Coast Path. Here you will find two spacious, yet inviting barn conversions, Court House Dairy and Court House Farmhouse can sleep up to 21 people together, boasting their own private hot tubs and a superb shared games barn which make this the perfect spot to bring your friends and family together for those special occasions. Both properties' interior comprise peaceful bedrooms to catch that much-needed rest in, and both offer one family bedroom and one bedroom boasting en-suite facilities each, providing a selection of sleeping arrangements to suit parties of all kinds. The living areas are homely and well-equipped, with the sitting rooms being enhanced by the additional warmth of a fire, giving the Court House Farm cottages a year-round appeal. The wonderful outside areas can be enjoyed whatever the weather, covered seating areas host private luxury hot tubs, while the large communal games barn offers much to keep you all busy including pool tables, and table tennis. Enthusiasts of the outdoors can make this location their own, a myriad of idyllic paths and trails can be enjoyed right from the doorsteps of these properties, while the renowned South West Coast Path runs close by. This stretch of picturesque coastline plays host to a range of popular spots, including Lyme Regis and Charmouth, Weymouth can be reached further afield.

The property

This lovely, family-friendly cottage is one of two holiday cottages that rest on a working farm in the charming village of Whitchurch Canonicorum, close to popular coastal towns of Charmouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay.

A super choice for an extended family holiday, or an opportunity to share time with friends.

The interior is characterful and quirky with exposed timber trusses and a vaulted ceiling in the spacious sitting room, the hub of the property.

A redbrick chimney separates the kitchen from the sitting room with a woodburning stove inset for cosy evenings in.

To the side, a conservatory acts as the dining room with seating up to 10 and doors lead out to the patio and rear garden.

Four bedrooms lead off from the sitting room to include a large family room with a double bed and three single beds, perfect for a large family.

There is a further a double with en-suite shower room, a twin and a double room, with a family bathroom and separate shower room.

To the rear, a large, enclosed lawn garden is perfect for children to play freely and for adults to relax whilst enjoying the views of rolling Dorset countryside.

A graveled seating area provides an opportunity for outside dining and summer barbecues, and an undercover hot tub is the perfect place for a relaxing moment to unwind.

The cottage has use of a shared games barn opposite, kitted out with pool, skittles and table tennis.

The South West Coast Path stretches for miles around Lyme Bay, and along Chesil Beach.

Lyme Regis is to the west, with it’s ancient Cobb harbour and West Bay to the east which has been made popular through the TV show Broadchurch.

Within three miles Charmouth boasts a dog-friendly, sandy beach and is famous for its fossil hunting and Heritage Coast Centre.

The village pub has homemade food and is just a 10-minute walk, ideal for sitting out with a local beer.

Further afield Bridport streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns, only adding to your holiday experience.
