Had a wonderful time there it was a lovely cottage and the owner was very helpful it would be helpful if there was a broom in the home just so we not need to take the hoover out

  • "We enjoyed a lovely break at The Old Haberdashery."

Lovely property in a lovely village, very peaceful and it was a lovely place to come back to after a day out in the questionable weather! The bus stop outside the house is incredibly useful and means no wrestling witn parking etc. There's also a lovely small shop which is attached to the local pub which is great for your morning coffee (and cake!). We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

  • "We had a really lovely stay here."

Spotlessly clean and a great location. Comfortable and very quiet. All important factors. The only mistakes made were ours - we hadn't realised there wasn't a WC upstairs. Nor did we realise there was no sitting out area or direct access to the garden in the photo. And we were blessed with great weather in October. But we recognise that this was OUR oversight and we'd had plenty of sunshine anyway!

  • "Lovely cottage great for easy commute to and from places, lovely walks across the road we enjoyed our stay and thinking about booking again next year the owners left some milk and biscuits which was very good of them so we could have a cuppa on arrival."

  • "Had a lovely week here, situated at the top of the village, walking distance to the pub which is a traditional pub with really good food, the pizzas at the weekend are amazing."

Great location for exploring Studland and west Dorset coast, towns and villages. For dog owners there is no direct access to a secure garden so need to lead up to take out, not a problem for us for a week. The property is very nice, two bedrooms upstairs, bathroom, kitchen and lounge on the ground floor. Would definitely return!

  • "Lovely property - plenty of space for our family of 6 and a dog for the weekend."

Only slight drawback would be lack of outside space if going in good weather and wanting to enjoy summer evenings outside. But all in all a great place, in a great location. We had a wonderful weekend

Thanks Tim for taking the trouble to feed back. Much appreciated. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely beautiful property to stay in with its own interesting history."

Recently renovated and everything is new and sparkling. Plenty of space and light within the property with quality fittings and furnishings. Cosy and warm and very comfortable beds. Good shower and kitchen facilities. The sofa bed in the living room is a very nice touch. There was five of us and we had plenty of space. The owner is also warm and welcoming. Location is brilliant. So much to see and do all within 20 to 30 minutes drive. Even some nice walks from the village itself and adjacent village. Do not hesitate to book this beautiful and also very reasonably priced property if you are considering a holiday in the Poole area.

Thank you so much for this review Gavyn. We're very happy that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
