  • "Fabulous cottage, great location with variety of pubs, shop and walks on doorstep"

  • "We loved the cottage, it was so much better than I expected."

It is spacious and dog friendly. We were there for a week with our dog, My son and his partner joined us with their two dogs for a few days and we had plenty of room. The cottage sleeps six and it is certainly roomy enough. The garden is well enclosed and nicely set out with a bench and a table and chairs. The kitchen is well equipped, the only improvement I can think of is that a little space could be cleared for food storage. but the fridge and freezer are both generously sized. Cerne Abbas is lovely and there are many walks from the village. It has a good friendly shop and three pubs all serving food. Highly recommended.

Floor was quite slippy to walk on . Was a festival with loud music in village we had no idea was happening dure in our stay.

The items in the hamper and the fridge were thoughtful and we enjoyed them very much, thank you. Kerridge is in a great location for exploring Cerne Abbas, Dorchester and further afield. We had a lovely stay. Thanks again.

  • "This was a perfect place to take our dog for her first holiday."

We stayed for the weekend and had everything we needed. The door at the bottom of the stairs was a bonus as we didn’t need to use the stair gate which we had brought. Cerne is a very dog friendly place with lots of walks and sunshine. The welcome hamper was superb and very kind as were the doggie treats. Thank you so much.

The entrance hall could do with some coat hangers for wet things . Kitchen was fine . It was sunnier than the dining room . Maybe 2 more chairs in the kitchen as we sat there . No chest of drawers in the bedrooms . It’s ok for a weekend but not if you wanted to stay longer . Showers were either boiling of freezing . On the whole s nice cottage just needs a bit more attention to detail . No hand towel in downstairs loo . Hamper was a very nice touch .

Secure garden for dog, loads of walks from door. Village with shop/3 pubs all doing good food nearby. One of nicest places we've stayed in. Loved the log-burners.

Would have liked some storage (chest of drawers ) in bedrooms. Maybe some towel hooks or similar in bathrooms, as there is nowhere to hang clothes or towels other than the floor. However a lovely stay at Kerridge

3 pubs in the village serving good food all dog friendly with a great welcome also a great shop that has everything you could possibly need, great cafe for breakfast or a coffee and cake on your way back from your walk and a lovely quaint gift shop.

  • "We were charmed by Kerridge."

It was spacious, impeccably clean, freshly decorated and well equipped. It is also very quiet. In spite of its location on a through route between Dorchester and Sherborne there is very little traffic, so that was not an issue. The welcome hamper was, indeed, comprehensive and very welcome. In addition, Kerridge is situated in a charming friendly village with an excellent tearoom, a good village shop, and three pubs serving food all within walking distance. We hope to visit Cerne Abbas again very soon.

  • "We arrived at the cottage after a long drive, and what a lovely welcome we had, the hamper was a lovely touch!"

What an absolutely beautiful cottage! I fell in love with the cottage and the village. Every thing you could need for your stay is supplied. The dogs loved it, the treats left for them and the garden was a nice size for them to have a play and relieve themselves when needed. We had numerous walks through the village, we all adored the quirky ness! We ate one evening in the pub which was lovely as the dogs where welcome too. We found a lovely little fish and chip place, which I left the postcode for in the guest book. We visited the Jurassic coast, what a beautiful place. The weather was warm but rainy so we did what we could. We would definitely return here one day.

We had every facility you would expect for a week, no disturbances, spacious rooms, clean place, felt like home from day one. They had left us lots of delicious food in a hamper. We didn’t have any pets but we found they had also left some treats for the dogs.I would definitely recommend this place to friends and hoping to go back again in the future.

  • "Can't understand why people are moaning about this property as it is very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the garden big enough and secure for our 3 small dogs."

My only concerns would have been the original price (being quite high and out pricing this property on the market) and I would have liked either a small dressing table or chest of drawers in the downstairs bedroom as storage is very limited (but I managed - just). My husband, daughter and I enjoyed our stay so much that we would like to return soon.

Photo on website very deceiving. Welcome hamper was welcoming. Although a clean cottage there was a musty smell when you entered. Beds comfortable. Couldn’t find any open spaces around area to give my dog a run. Sorry but I won’t be returning.

  • "Lovely spacious cottage and very clean and pleasant to arrive to."

Unfortunately a few things just didn't work. TV had poor aerial so could not use, boiler stopped working and we had to wait for a new order of gas to get hot water. Most of the taps were fitted wrong so they felt like they would come off at any minute. Just small little details which made it feel a little cheap, all easily resolved which would turn it into a wonderful cottage.

There was a lovely hamper waiting for us when we arrived with lots of local goodies, a lovely thought. The house is very spacious and comfortable and contained everything you would need whilst away. So many places to visit within a short drive. We took our dogs with us and there are so many different walks to do. Will certainly be returning. Definitely worth a stay.

It felt like a home rather than a holiday let. Apart from the heating problem, we totally relaxed there and I would definitely consider renting this property again in spring or summer. This is the first time I have rented at Christmas, and knowing now that you can go somewhere and everything is provided (except food) gives me peace of mind that I can relax on holiday with the dogs without having to take everything including the kitchen sink! :0)
