  • "My party of four were all so satisfied with my choice and what a choice Just Brilliant all round."

Welcome pack to everything one would need in their own house was here a Clematis House. We thought great location for all our trip needs.

Thank you so much for these lovely comments. We’re so glad you all enjoyed your stay. Peter and Hilary Property Owner

  • "A lovely house, comfortable and well equipped."

The welcome tray was appreciated. It is nice that there are indoor pastimes e.g. chess, jigsaws and children's activities if needed, though the puzzles would need to be done on the dining table. The garden is colourful and quiet, a nice place to relax or eat on warm days. Having a shop so close is helpful for basic groceries. Clematis house is conveniently placed for Dorchester, the coast and other visitor attractions. We would recommend it.

  • "The property is in a convenient position for visiting attractions nearby."

The property provides most facilities that are needed. There were issues with cleanliness. The kitchen needs a through deep clean. There was remnants of food and dirt on the floor. A glass chopping board was provided, when we moved it we find food remains underneath. The sink plug was filthy as was the sink. All the drawer handles were caked in grime. In the washing machine drum was a 2p coin. A vacuum cleaner was provided but crammed full of rubbish and needed emptying and cleaning. In the bathroom there was bath with shower, however there is a problem with water draining away from the bath. The extractor is broken. Finally there was were large cobwebs in the conservatory with resident spiders and food store attached.

We are disappointed that your stay in Clematis House was not up to your expectations. From your description it would appear that our own very high standards were not met on this occasion. Where guests find a problem they are asked to make contact immediately and where possible the issue will be resolved during their stay. Had we been made aware of the issues you raised, we would have made every effort to resolve them for you. We work hard to ensure the property offers everything the guest would expect and more and always listen and react to concerns raised. Property Owner

  • "This is such a find!"

Peaceful is what I was looking for and it was perfect. Close to civilisation as well as great Dorset walks/hikes. Clean, beautiful back garden with loads of plants for pollinators, a shop near by for convenience. Perfect - it was the calm that was needed.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

Nice, clean house, comfortable beds, soft towels and great location to explore Dorset. We liked to have meals on the conservatory, being full of day light and opened to the garden. The garden had a vast diversity of plants and we spoted on serveral times a colibri bird, wich it was AMAZING! Kids loved the curtains that separated the living room from conservatory, cause that was them stage and they put together some shows :) Highly recommended!

  • "Disappointed with the position of the property, from the description on your website it did not mention it was on a housing estate surrounded by other properties."

There was no privacy at the back and overlooked at both front and back. Your description said only 2 properties in the street. The property next door was scruffy and the back garden was a mess. No views from the property at all. Good points were that it was close to Dorchester and not far from other areas of interest.

  • "Everything as described, and very comfortable and attractive."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, appreciated the welcome pack, and would like to come again However, just a few things to mention: Both the microwave oven and the DVD lacked instructions File needs updating for recycling and rubbish day of collection - it is now Fridays No liners provided for the brown food box - it was very messy to clean out after several weeks' worth of waste food I failed to operate the key safe - could do with instructions on how to close it Bathroom: 2 of us were unable to use the shower, as they needed a non-slip bath mat and grab handles
