  • "The only positives about this place is it’s dog friendly, which are in short supply on Hoburne Naish, and the location."

There is no allocated parking space which most of the other lodges seem to have. The handrail to the entrance is leaning and about to fall off. The whole place is very, very dated, with very poor quality bedding. The bedroom curtains are very thin and it’s like daylight from 5am. It’s impossible to have a shower without flooding the bathroom floor. The bath and basin do not drain properly and there is a smell coming from the basin and kitchen sink. The whole place is in desperate need of maintenance and a complete refit. Definitely not worth the £750+ that was paid for a week in May. Obviously we won’t be booking again.

  • "I really feel the cabin could do with updating ."

The beds and bedding were quite poor . There was no hand rail in bath and the panel kept moving . Everywhere could do with a good spring clean and a bit of TLC on the plus it was a nice area and the weather was great .

  • "The property is in need of a bit if work."

Quite a few things in a poor condition. Several dining chairs broken, but just able to still use. Bathroom light was loose and electrics were not safe from shower splashes. Hob light not working. Main bedroom side light not working. Second bedroom side light loose. Threadbare carpet and we trod on a carpet tack. On positive side, the site was good and good access to the beach. The shower was very good too.

  • "The good bits Very clean, lovely area, excellent site, friendly site staff, close to good places to visit."

plenty of drawer and cupboard space. Bad bits The newel post by the entrance steps was wobbly. The owner saw it and said he would fix it and put a rail on the other side. Never saw him again. There were no instruction on the use of the equipment, no guide to local services and facilities. The door between lounge and hall would not shut and had a floor rail across that was a trip hazard. the dining chairs were rickety and had to be banged together as was the nest of tables. the replacement window catches had been poorly done leaving old screw holes etc visible. The bathroom window was such a poor fit someone had stuffed toilet paper round it to keep out the draught. The toilet flush was never right and at the end would not stop flushing. Tried to ring owners but they did not answer the phone. The internal walls were so thin that anyone in the bedroom next to the bathroom could hear every sound in there. The whole chalet needed up-dating and decorating. The welcome pack was conspicuous by it's absence. There was no friendly ornamentation on the walls and shelves. Really this was not up to the high standard that, as regular Sykes customers, we have grown used to. It needs to be inspected.

  • "We thought we had a designated parking space, but we didn't."

Nice quiet setting considering how large the holiday park is. Nice walks nearby with places to eat within walking distance.

  • "Lovely lodge."

Is a bit dated and could do with some TLC but we enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed and a great location.

  • "TV reception not great, WiFi was sketchy but facilities and comfort were great."

Decor and furniture could do with being modernised. Friendly and helpful owners.

  • "Disappointed with the lodge."

It needs updating and a thorough cleaning. Bed base was very dirty, pine dining set was rickety, no instructions for tv Nowhere near the standard of Corner Cottage at High Hauxley we rented through your company

Thank you for your feedback. Its important to us and we will endeavour to make improvements, regards Sykes cottages. Property Owner

  • "The accomodation was aged and tired but still adequate."

the bar and entertainment centre need to sort themselves out, allthough after the last 18 months they were trying to adjust to new times to be fair to them. on the plus side the park was in a excellent location ,the beach, woodland, clifftop walks all on your doorstep plus sea side towns not to far away. we would definetly go back to this park..
