Wow! We have no reservations in describing Prides Cottage as outstanding, both in terms of facilities and location. The owners have spared no expense in the renovation of this property, with its bespoke solid wood kitchen, gas Aga range oven, plus other bespoke fittings throughout. The crocs, pots and cutlery are plentiful and of very high quality. The beds and bedding are of high quality and are extremely comfortable. The central heating/ hot water system is modern so there is no shortage of hot water and the cottage is lovely and warm in winter even if you don't want to light the log stove. Child Okeford is a very friendly place with a fantastic village shop which doubles up as a bakery and coffee shop. In terms of walking, the NT Hambledon hills are directly behind the cottage, and the trailway makes for miles and miles of flat scenic rambling. All very dog friendly. The coast is not far away, neither is beautiful Shaftesbury. We will definitely be returning to this cottage in beautiful Dorset again soon.
