  • "We stayed at this cottage for 2 Weeks from the 2nd July to the 16th July 2021."

The cottage is lovely, we were very fortunate that the owner of the area next to the cottage let us park our car there. The only downside of the holiday was we stayed for 2 weeks, and I was expecting someone to come in and change the bed sheets and towels, which has happened in other cottages we have stayed in. I know we had a washing machine, but for the price we paid I would have expected, a change of bedding and towels after a weeks stay.

  • "Good value, pleasant, clean authentic 'fisherman's cottage."

Only negative; there is no safe parking space; I had to park my small car in a rather busy through-road to the back of Chesil Lane. It was very badly scratched by another vehicle so I am now having to pay for the damage. A dedicated parking arrangement would be a real asset.

  • "It was disappointing not to have any washing up facilities because that was not on the list to bring with us and items can still be supplied in a Covid friendly manner."

Also would comment that I would not recommend Sykes because of how inflexible Sykes was at rebooking or rescheduling the trip. I would have liked to rearrange and I appreciate thst I needed to pay more for a high season but the extra cost requested was simply outrageous and if I wanted to cancel my booking I would have lost all my money even 3 months prior to the booking. I have also heard this with other friends who have used Sykes and therefore won’t be using you again.

  • "The cottage was great."

Had everything needed and was very cozy. Short drive to most places of interest. Pebble beach 5 min walk with coastal walks. An excellent base to enjoy your holiday.

  • "Whilst the cottage is delightful, I wouldn't recommend it for use by the elderly or families with young children due to the small staircase, it has an open side with no rail where accidents could occur."

There is not a garden which is always required when taking dogs. Boatswain Watch is close to facilities and ideal for walking and sightseeing, the magnificent Jurassic coastline is close by. Chesil Chippie have won awards for their tasty menu.
