"Lovely cottage in a great central location, had everything that we could need and the quality of everything from cutlery to bed covers was well above standard."
The welcome pack made a great start to our break and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing with more space than we expected. The owners were wonderfully helpful when we had car problems and this was truly appreciated. Would definitely book again

"The property was very comfortable and to a high standard however there was one flaw in that there were no wardrobes or hanging rails for clothes."
There were just hooks behind the bedroom door which was woefully inadequate The drawers provided do not accommodate dresses and items which usually would be placed hanging. there was an iron but no ironing board so items which had to remain in the suitcase became unwearable. It was quite disappointing. Likewise for coats only two hooks were provided in the downstairs cupboard but we were a party of five. Fortunately it did not rain but if it had it would have meant dripping wet items over furniture to dry. The lack of hanging is a big drawback

If you can tear yourself away, begin your adventures in the centre of Christchurch where you can tour the Red House Museum and Gardens, visit the ruins of Norman House, take a relaxing stroll along the River Stour or sample some of the hearty fare at one of several restaurants or pubs including BODEGA, Loch & Quay and Arcado Lounge.
Christchurch Quay is also within walking distance, where you can catch the ferry towards Mudeford Spit, or by car, drive to Avon Beach, with the must-visit restaurant of the Noisy Lobster, or head to Mudeford Quay to buy some local produce, or try your hand at crabbing!

The attractive Dorset waterside town of Christchurch is situated on the estuaries of the Rivers Stour and Avon, where they come together to form a magnificent natural harbour. Christchurch is a real gem of a town, offering visitors a wonderful and diverse holiday experience. The town centre boasts an array of charming shops and quality restaurants, whilst the 11th century castle ruins and the glorious Medieval priory, the longest parish church in the country, are well worth visiting. No trip to Christchurch would be complete unless you have strolled down to the pretty quayside, where you can enjoy refreshments whilst watching the ever changing boating scene, or you may wish to take one of the regular boat trips along the peaceful River Stour.
