  • "An exceptional holiday home, comfortable, clean, spacious enough for our extended family of 6 adults and 2 little ones and extremely well equipped (including items such as toys and BBQ not in listing)."

We had a great week, with amazing weather so walked to the beach most days, but also went on the little ferry to Hengistbury Head for beach and crabbing (thanks for the use of the crabbing equipment). The nearby playground and woods proved popular with the three year old. Phil and Sue were so helpful with suggestions of where to go. Hope to return.

Thanks very much indeed for taking the time to provide your review. We've updated the listing as you suggested - thanks for pointing this out to us. We are delighted that you enjoyed the house and area so much and we look forward to welcoming you back when the time arises. Property Owner

The very welcoming owners greeted us on arrival and showed us around, including the useful beach equipment in the garden shed. The kitchen/diner is a sociable space and has all you could possibly need for self-catering. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. The whole house is immaculately clean and well maintained. The location is ideal for visiting a few beaches and the east Dorset coastal area, we all had a great time. Thank you.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Sandytoes, the hosts are really helpful and kind."

The property is well maintained and the 4 bedrooms were all a good size and perfect for our family holiday shared with grandparents. The kitchen space is really lovely and sunny in the mornings and the garden is great for being able to keep an eye on the kids but letting them play freely. The hosts kindly lent us the use of a beach trolley which meant we walked to Avon beach in about 12 mins with all the deckchairs and kids toys etc. Avon beach is great for a family seaside holiday, with lifeguards, toilets and ice cream/cafes and a doggy section. We had days out in Bournemouth and Lymington, but we mostly stayed local as there is everything you need in walking distance. The hosts were really helpful when my car broke down on the drive and tried to help us find a garage. They also had lots of top tips for the best things to during our week there. 10/10 recommended!

Thank you so much for your review. We're delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much and clearly made the most of the beach and the local area. Hope to welcome you again in 2024! Property Owner

  • "A lovely house with off road parking for two cars and a secure garden where children can play safely."

Its cleanliness was exemplary. There is a children's park just round the corner near the community centre and the beach is within walking distance. The beach trolley left in the shed for us to use was a nice touch, as was the excellent welcoming pack. The selection of brochures for local tourist spots was a good idea. All in all, it is the best holiday house we have stayed in.

Thank you very much for your review. We were delighted to welcome you back this year and to hear that you enjoyed yourselves so much again. Property Owner

Idyllically positioned within easy reach of both the dramatic coastline of Dorset and the scenic woodland of the New Forest, 47 Brabazon Drive offers a group of friends or a large family the best of both worlds.

Park up on the spacious driveway nestled at the foot of this remarkable dwelling before unloading your bags and heading inside your new home-from-home to begin your staycation.

Dust off your sandy toes as you enter into the hallway, making use of the handy cloakroom to freshen up following a day at the beach before putting your feet up in front of the television in the sitting room to enjoy a moment of peace.

Follow the corridor through to the fabulous open-plan living space, where you can look forward to gathering together with your loved ones at the dining table to recount the days adventures as the designated chef utilises the fantastic range of amenities provided in the contemporary kitchen, stylishly adorned with quartz countertops, to prepare some tasty treats.

Make mealtimes an alfresco affair and throw open the elegant bi-fold doors for a sociable seat underneath the pergola in your private garden; a lovely spot to soak in the last of the evening sun with your favourite tipple.

As day turns to night, climb the stairs to the first floor and prepare for bed with a blissful soak in the bath, or opt for a quick rinse in the en-suite shower room.

When sleep calls choose between four beautifully-appointed bedrooms, with a king-size, one superking (zip-linked), one double and a twin bedroom offering flexible sleeping arrangements for a variety of party makeups.

Pack up your bucket and spade and spend a fun-filled day amongst the glorious golden sand at Avon Beach, where you can bathe in the tranquil waters of the bay, feel the sand between your toes as you paddle the shores, or try your hand at kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding with expert tuition available at ShoreSports.

Lace up your walking boots and embark on a two-footed adventure through the peaceful woodland of the New Forest National Park, where you can watch the wildlife graze at Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, or escape the hustle and bustle with a stroll through the conifer and hazel at Roydon Woods Nature Reserve.

Jump in the car and journey to the nearby town of Bournemouth, where you can discover the fascinating marine life on display at Oceanarium, try your luck on the penny slots aboard the Victorian Bournemouth Pier, or savour fresh fish and chips with a walk along the promenade, colourful beach huts to one side and the shores of the Channel to the other.
