    Nigel was a true gentleman! The flat is beautiful and the welcome gifts (bread, butter, tea, milk, fruit cake, biscuits - the list goes on) were unexpected but certainly well received! I would recommend this property to anyone and we’re already considering a return in the spring! Nigel, what you have done is truly amazing and the experience you provide is exceptional! A true perfectionist in the art of running a short term let! Well done!

  • "Enjoyed a lovely stay in this comfortable and beautifully appointed apartment."

    It was very private with a lovely garden (must be great to sit and eat outside in the summer). I loved that it was all on one level, so perfect for our family (ages 15 - 87). Nigel’s welcome pack was generous and much appreciated. Once we’d followed the instructions for the heating we were able to get the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms/en-suites warm, like the rest of the apartment. Coombe Bissett is a super village (fabulous shop and handy pub), with Salisbury on the doorstep. We also visited Stonehenge and had a day out to the New Forest, both easy distance. Useful information at the apartment helped us decide where to go. Well recommended.

  • "This property is in an excellent location - we were able to visit Lulworth Cove, Bournemouth, the New Forest and look around the local area of Salisbury and Coombe Bissett too."

    The property is lovely - very modern and the fact each bedroom has its own bathroom is a bonus. The owners very kindly left some goodies on our arrival and were also very helpful with a couple of things that needed sorting out. Whilst we were there we were thinking it would be great if the property had a hot tub installed on the patio area - this would have been great to use of an evening.

    Country walks on the door step and nice local shop and pub. All I would say is making it clear that the accommodation is opposite a primary school would help people make an informed choice.

  • "The apartment was clean, warm and comfortable and very well equipped."

    The owner was extremely helpful when we had a partial power cut (caused we think by rain water getting in during a very heavy storm). We enjoyed the log-burner at night and we were very pleased to receive the welcome pack. It took us a while to work out how to use the oven (a user guide would have been helpful) but once we got the hang of it we had no problems. Local pub food was also excellent (we tried a few).

    In these COVID times, the apartment was cleaned to a standard that made us feel safe. A very nice welcome pack was provided and the owner made contact with us before the holiday with information about the accommodation and things to do in the surrounding area. We had a very pleasant weekend break in what was probably one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The only very minor downside was the garden which was not enclosed and with a young dog this meant that she had to stay on a lead although this certainly did not detract from our stay.

Shutts House Apartment really is a magnificent place to spend a holiday and guests will feel immediately at home, not least by the little touches the owner have left to ensure a comfortable stay.

Nestling in its private and secluded surroundings on the edge of the pretty village of Coombe Bissett, you will certainly have the impression of escaping to the country when you take up residence here but with all the modern comforts such sumptuous accommodation offers.

The owner, who lives in the upper part of the house with a completely separate entrance on the other side, have lovingly converted the lower level into an ultra-contemporary space with beautiful floors, soft furnishings and the highest standards of luxury throughout.

An important part of any day out will be returning at the end of it to relax in the peaceful, secluded garden and enjoy the almost Mediterranean effect of the luxurious outdoor furniture and discreet lighting - a magical experience.
