“The perfect cottage with lots to do....”
Pleasant Cottage ...
Pleasant cottage is nestled in the rolling hills of South West Dorset, in the village of Corscombe. Corscombe is a sleepy village that is served by a pub on the eastern edge of the village.
Pleasant cottage itself sleeps 5 through its three bedrooms, all located on the first floor with the main bathroom, which was of a good size with a shower over bath. The bedrooms all have wardrobes, chest of draws and bedside cabinates.
We were advised to access the cottage via the off road parking to the rear into the kitchen via a small bootroom. The kitchen had all we needed for our week, equiped with washing machine, large 50/50 fridge-freezer, electric oven and microwave etc. We had plenty of cutlery and crockery as you would expect.
A large central hallway offered access to the downstairs lounge-diner front room and the downstairs WC. and the stairway to the first floor. The cottage is neutrally decorated throughout for a relaxing atmosphere. The central heating is oil fired and works very well and quickly.
The front room has free-view TV and DVD player and a real open fire for that real cosy evening. The seating was good old recliners which again seated for five people. A CD player was also available with a selection of CD’s just in case you needed a little music to make your day. There are DVD’s too. There is also a dining room table that again caters for the all guests covered with a cover for added protection.
The cottage has a enclosed area to the back which has patio furniture to enjoy the outside and with an extendable washing line to help dry that washing.
We have had a peaceful week enjoying what we could see of Dorset in our week. The owner has written a helpful guide for everyones stay but with all the attraction leaflets too you really have a lot to see and do.
We get food delivered from a supermarket, for this cottage the postcode doesn’t lend itself for the delivery person to find you, so make sure your phones are on for them to contact you. We had signal for EE and vodaphone but it wasn’t the strongest. But they worked fine.
It follows then that if you use satnav to get here and not the directions then you need to be patient and come along the main road through village to find the cottage. I used google earth to look before we came, easy.
When I rang the owner about the key collection I found her very helpful and informative, I felt that if I had a special request that she would help if she could, really nice feeling.
If you find this helpful please give me a thumbs up, I can try and answer questions too, if you want. Enjoy.
