“Regarding Sykes holidays itself.”
....I had a couple of queries before leaving. At the time Sykes could only answer questions via email. I had no response after 2 weeks. They then changed their contact method to phone, but even after repeated attempts still couldn't get through. Pretty poor really.
The property itself is very quaint, and occupies a tranquil location with a gorgeous garden. It's Ideal for dog walks, with many footpaths running close by.
The property is well laid out and makes great use of the available space..
Another holiday property sits above this one, so at night creaking floorboards and footsteps may be troublesome to some...
The hot tub is a nice feature, although bear in mind they use a rota system for 3 holiday lets, so you can't just jump in when you fancy a dip. Those being extra careful during these Covid times may not like the idea of sharing.
The bed is large but was a little firm for our taste. The ensuite had a large bath and a powerful overhead shower. The ensuite didn't have a particular nice odour to it. You have to have the door shut, otherwise it becomes obtrusive whilst you're in bed.
Otherwise it was clean and tidy.
Parking is a short walk up a lane, which was no bother to us.
