"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Old School Room."
And a whole week of beautiful weather - I assume it is always like this in Dorset? All of which made the stay extra special. Beautiful countryside around. Although off the beaten track it is surprising how many vehicles pass by the bedroom windows - some of them tractors - even as late as 11 pm. Ideal getaway for a couple - but be aware that there are no views from the property itself as it is sited on a working farm and surrounded by buildings. None of this was an issue to us as we were aware before we arrived. We would happily book again if we return to the area. Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay.

It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and complete with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The owners, Andrea and Colin were very welcoming hosts to this peaceful little hideway on the working Manor Farm. Highly recommended. 5stars all round.

"We had a wonderful stay."
The cottage was lovely and had everything in it that you would need. It was an upside down cottage and the upstairs open plan lounge kitchen diner had amazing high ceilings and was lovely and bright. We enjoyed having dinner on the patio and then enjoying amazing sunsets on our walks. The welcome pack was really appreciated. Will definitely go back.

The owners are friendly and helpful. It's out of the way but easy to get over to Beaminster and down to the coast, under a half hour's drive. We would definitely return when staying in the area.

"A real away-from-it-all experience (including internet and even phone - there is intermittent wi-fi but best make holiday plans at home beforehand)."
We struggled a bit with setting the shower and the oven - some instructions would help as our own systems are quite different from these. The cottage is lovely and we had a good, relaxing holiday there. When out, we got lost innumerable times but the unintentional scenery we saw more than compensated!

"The old School Room was lovely set in the countryside it was quiet and peaceful but with easy access to main routes if you wanted to explore that area."
The tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was an appreciated touch as were the flowers on the table. For me the only down size was the firmness of the mattress on the bed - fine if you like that but I prefer a softer one. All in all I can highly recommend this cottage

"We had a lovely week’s stay at the Old School Room."
Well equipped cottage in the heart of the Dorset countryside, conveniently situated next to a quiet country lane gives easy access to the surrounding area and next to the footpath that leads to the local village. The outside patio is a lovely sun trap in the afternoons, would definitely stay here again.

"This was a lovely upside cottage."
Only problem with having the bedroom on the ground floor next to the road was that every morning about 6.15 to 6.30 a car raced by and woke up up. Also good idea to take fly spray as we got bitten quite badly.

"The cottage was comfortable, clean and in a great location for a varied week of exploring the local countryside and wider Dorset area, and perfect for recovering from a busy work life."
The cottage is well equipped, clean and is generally blissfully quiet, and the welcome pack was indeed very welcome!
Re feedback, and this may well be to do with time of year - an occasional smell from the farm was detectable, but that is to be expected on a working farm. Within the cottage, if one was to be somewhat picky, I thought the two sofas could do with being renewed, the bathroom extractor fan was not working during our visit, and I missed having a larger frying pan to cook with than those provided. I like the fact that the cottage was pet friendly, though we did not have one with us. I also thought the walk from the cottage to Evershot could be mapped out and provided to guests, as it took us a while to work it out and several others commented in the guest book that they were defeated.
The walks from the cottage to Evershot and Halstock were lovely, and from the cottage we drove easily to Bridport, Cerne Abbas, Sherborne, Dorchester, West Bay, Lulworth Cove, Tyneham and Studland beach, taking in a variety of 5-9 mile walks, museums, parks, sites and beaches. All totally worth a visit!
All in all a very lovely week was had. Thank you.
