It was immaculately clean and really comfortable. Kellie or host was very friendly and helpful before, during and even after our stay as I left something behind which she kindly posted back to me. The woodland trail and barbeque area in the ground is really well kept and a lot of attention to detail. We spotted deer twice during the week within the grounds. I can’t recommend this property enough.

  • "Kellie and Steve were lovely, very considerate and thoughtful."

I am always sceptical about advice given by the people who own / run the holiday or resort we're visiting but Kellie and Steve gave us genuine personal opinions on where to go and what do and how best to experience them. Actually on reflection I think our holiday was made better knowing that the people who owned the accommodation were genuinely nice people. The deer in the back garden also helped swing our opinion.

  • "The lodge was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon and such a relaxing break."

Kellie and Steve were both very welcoming and friendly and very kindly extended our check out time on our last day. In the hot summer months, a tower fan would of helped to keep the lodge cool and may help with trying to sleep through the heat. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect, couldn't fault the lodge at all.

Thank you for your review of Pheasant Lodge and we are delighted that you found it perfect for your honeymoon. During your stay we did experience a heatwave in excess of 30 degrees which was somewhat unusual in England. We do provide a fan in both of our properties for periods of warmer weather and hope that you found this useful. We hope to see you again in the future. Warmest wishes for your future together Kellie and Steve Property Owner

  • "We had the loveliest stay in Pheasant Lodge!"

The accommodation was so cosy and well kept. Every detail was so well thought out to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hosts were incredibly helpful: checking us in and showing us how to use the hot tub, giving us delicious home made apple cake, local cider and local chocolates as well as recommending things locally to do! We loved the hot tub and the fact that the accommodation is not at all overlooked, allowing us to admire the beautiful countryside and look at the stars at night. The location was great for exploring the local area and there is a pub just a few minutes walk away, which was great even with the current restrictions! Would highly recommend this accommodation and the hosts. Thanks again!

  • "An absolutely fantastic stay at Pheasant Lodge to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday."

The lodge and surrounding woodland areas were lovely and even more so in the glorious July sunshine. Steve and Kellie were wonderful and very friendly and welcoming, and even left us an amazing Victoria Sponge, fizz and birthday messages in the lodge upon arrival which was very kind of them and very much appreciated. We saw many animals also whilst staying at the lodge including sheep, deer, hares and pheasants. There is also a brilliant pub restaurant (Vintage Inns) a couple of minutes walk from the lodge with great tasting food, if you don't fancy cooking or starting up the BBQ. I cannot recommend Chapel Lodges highly enough and have already recommended to our family and friends! Will definitely look to return in the future as was very sad to leave on our final day!

  • "Absolutely loved it, looked good when booked even better when arrived, beautiful location, quiet and peaceful getaway which is exactly what we were looking for, we were there over the new year and it was warm and very comfortable, superb nights sleep, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, in fact I'm going to get one the same for our own home, despite being there in the winter we still used the hot tub which was so nice after a day exploring, we even got in with it being windy and raining outside, getting in was lovely, the challenge was getting out !"

!!! Had to be done though, looking forward to our next visit in the summer so that we can enjoy sitting out in the hot tub or by the fire pit with a drink and enjoy the country side view and various animals and wildlife roaming about the several acres of land around the lodge. We'll be back asap. T & S Ward

  • "We had a lovely relaxing week, with a warm welcome and milk, bubbles and cake waiting for us."

The lodge is not large as the photos show, but fine for 2, and with everything you need and details of local attractions and facilities. Unexpected bonuses included WiFi, Netflix & Amazon video (+ some DVDs), and bathrobes. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking at the deer in the distance, the moon and stars, bats and birds. The various fire pits with wood, firelighters, grille and chairs/tables and blankets were also a really nice touch. Thanks very much for a great stay.

  • "Amazing location, beautiful lodge, great facilities."

They literally have thought of everything in this lodge. From fire pits with wood and firelighters ready to go and blankets to keep warm, to a beautiful woodland walk light up dimly by little fairly lights. The hot tub is fantastic, and the view from it is even better, most nights we had a little deer visit us. The wildlife in the area is outstanding, we saw pairs of green woodpeckers, a pheasant that would feed from your hand and walk with you in the fields, swallow flying around everywhere and much more. Including the two fluffy gentle natured cats that take a stroll on a morning and night. The owners were so tentative yet you felt like you were completely alone, thanks to the view of fields and woodland in front of the lodge, and a fence on the left tucking away the owners house. We were surprised to find a lovely bottle of bubbly and homemade lemon drizzle cake set out for us. The lengths the owners have went to, to deliver a relaxing and really enjoyable holiday, is ridiculous. We cannot fault them! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, whether your looking to chill out and enjoy a drink and the hot tub, or watch nature come right up to you. This has it all. I really could keep going on! Thank you so much, and we hope to stay and see you guys again! Emily & Matty

. Personal welcome from owners on arrival made us feel immediately settled and comfortable in the beautiful lodge and vast private land we had total access to. Location is great. Peace and quiet with nature but so near to local points of interest - we visited Sandbanks Beach, Studlands and Poole in our short stay. Hot tub and bbq facilities was an attraction on our booking which did not fail to impress. Big thank-you to Kelly and Steve who have obviously put so much hard work into 'Sykes' and it is transparent to us that it is a true labour of love.

  • "What an absolutely gorgeous place."

Steve and Kellie have put so much care, attention and thought into creating this wonderful lodge and this shows wherever you look in Pheasant Lodge. It is such an idyllic location, being able to sit with a cup of tea in the morning and watch the rabbits and deer running across the fields. Utter magic. The BBQ pits placed around the land are another example of just how well thought out this is, and are perfect for cooking a delicious BBQ whilst sitting back and enjoying a cold beer, with a gorgeous sunset as your backdrop. And when you get back, you can sit in the hot tub and relax for a few hours. I could honestly rave about Pheasant Lodge for hours and hours, but you will just have to go there yourself to experience it...you absolutely will not be disappointed!
