  • "Everything was fine and the owner contacted by phone and email - just me but I do think that it would have been nice if they had taken the time to just say hello whilst we were there."

  • "Little House was a lovely place to stay in the New Forest."

It was well equiped and had everything you would need whilst on holiday. It is situated in a beautiful place called Wellow, so peaceful and the only sound you can hear are the different varieties of birds! It was lovely to sit out on the patio area and listen to them. It was just perfect for us and we had beautiful weather for the whole week. Thank you to Mags and Joe for the lovely welcome items too. I would highly recommend this place and I'm sure we will return again soon.

  • "I was surprised to find that the “cottage” described on your website was actually a flat in the roof space of the owners garage with all the living space upstairs and the bathroom down two flights of stairs."

It may be a good idea to emphasise this for those with mobility issues. Also if you needed to use the bathroom during the night, you have to walk the length of the flat in total darkness to reach the light switch unless you use the bedroom light thereby waking your partner. We had warm weather during our stay and found the flat extremely hot with little means of ventilation other than a fan that was far too noisy to use especially at night. We couldn’t eat outside because that would mean carrying food, plates etc down the stairs and back up again. The patio wasn’t private being directly overlooked and beside the main driveway. Having said that the property was very clean, well equipped and peaceful but given the issues we experienced we wouldn’t book this property again.

I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay I believe from Sykes they have advertised the property correctly and will speak to you. Stairs are not two flights and can be seen clearly on property Sykes pictures. If you have mobility problems then you shouldn’t have booked this property Privacy on patio, there is a gate for guests to close if they require more privacy Flat has been occupied in hot weather by other guests and no one has complained, indeed I don’t think anyone could sleep regardless which property they lived in, temperatures were very high in our area. I hope in the future you find your ideal holiday property. The majority of feedback for this property has always been positive. Property Owner

  • "Little House was located in a beautiful area of Hampshire and had everything we required."

The bed was super comfortable and the only issue we had was the extreme heat for the first couple of days. The large fan gave us some reprieve thankfully. The cottage is perfectly situated to visit nearby Romsey and the New Forest and further afield places such as Portsmouth, Salisbury and Bournemouth. Many thanks to Mags for the little extras to welcome us. We would have no hesitation in returning to Little House

It was comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean and all the facilities were first class. It is situated in the quiet, secluded grounds of Wellow Manor and our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. We have no complaints at all and would be very happy to stay there again.

The property was very clean and was equipped with everything you need for a break in the New Forest. It was so peaceful and had the weather been better it would have been nice to sit outside to enjoy an evening drink. It is well positioned for visits to the many delightful villages around the area. We loved the place.

  • "Situated within the grounds of the manor, the property was peaceful and private."

There is a lovely garden area for your own use with a table and chairs and also loungers. The property is modern, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The Little House really was spotlessly clean and there were lots of extra cleaning materials provided if you required them. Bread, biscuits, milk were provided along with some chocs, beer, Prosecco. There is a large fan in case we get another spell of hot weather. We really enjoyed our stay here, lovely and quiet. It was an idea base for the New Forest, Southampton, Salisbury. We ate out most evenings, but booking was necessary as most bars/restaurants are not back to normal as yet.

  • "The Little House proved to be the ideal venue for a much needed total break from our business."

The owners seem to have gone out of their way in welcoming visitors with some really nice touches to make you feel extra special on your arrival and lots of information about the accommodation and local area. We wanted to be able to cook for ourselves so the kitchen facilities were excellent for this purpose with everything we needed to prepare a meal. If you are seeking peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. The temperatures were positively Mediterranean throughout our stay so we slept with the windows wide open and it was so nice to be woken by the sound of the dawn chorus rather than traffic! The bed was comfortable and we slept really well. We had planned to explore the New Forest on our bikes but the 30 degree week long heatwave meant that we opted to drive to a beach everyday to get a suntan instead. Each evening we stopped on our way back in Romsey to use the local Waitrose, just 4 miles from the Little House. This was just about the most perfect holiday we could have wished for, lovely accommodation in beautiful, safe and secure surroundings. We would definitely go back because it suited our needs perfectly!

The place is well appointed, quiet, very clean, and on arrival, Mags had left some flowers, chocolates, biscuits, and a loaf of bread. In the fridge, we're also found some milk, beer and prosecco! Tea and coffee packs were also available in the cupboard. Nothing was too much trouble- when we asked for a fan as it happened to be the hottest day of the year so far.
