Positioned on the rugged and stunning Isle of Portland, Bowman's is a character, terraced Dorset holiday cottage located on the wide avenue which is Wakeham.
The owners have affectionately updated the interior decor in a modern style, whilst retaining the original and striking features of the cottage, including the exposed Portland stone walls, quarry tiled flooring and fireplaces (not in use) in the sitting room.
The galley style kitchen, complete with separate dining room, is the perfect setting to prepare your meals.
The two bedrooms and bathroom can be found upstairs via the Cottage style stairs.
Weymouth and Portland hosted the 2012 Olympic sailing events and still attracts many visitors looking for their ideal water sports holiday, including sailing, wind surfing and kite surfing.
Other visitors love the bird watching, fishing, walking and climbing that is on the doorstep in Portland; walks can encompass the iconic 'Portland Bill' lighthouse and quarries.
The stunning 'Church Ope Cove' is just a short walk from the cottage, where you will find the Portland museum and a walkway leading directly to the secluded Cove.
The walkway passes under an imposing stone arch and a little further along are the ruins of Rufus Castle with panoramic views along the Jurassic Coast.
A few minutes down steep steps (150) takes you to Church Ope Cove.
Nearby Easton has good amenities, including two supermarkets, cafes and independent local shops.
A relatively short drive or bus journey away is the main resort of Weymouth, with its award winning long, beautiful, sandy beach, traditional entertainments and good shopping.
Providing an ideal base, this Portland Stone cottage, is perfectly located for exploring the Jurassic coast at any time of the year.
