“Had a great week, the house is in a perfect position with views of the sea.”

Although the house is relatively small, it was comfortable and so well equipped, with a well maintained garden. The owners had also thought of everything to make our dogs stay perfect, providing blankets, towels, bowls, even a spare lead just in case! We would certainly recommend.

The property

Resting moments away from the beach in a quiet residential area of Weymouth lies this wonderful end-terrace property, Chalkhill View.

Boasting captivating views of the Jurassic Coastline and across to Portland, this holiday home is an idyllic base for a family and friends alike looking for a coastal sanctuary from which they can explore the delights that the County of Dorset has to offer.

Entering through the front door, be welcomed into the spacious living/dining room, offering a sociable space to gather with the group, leading through to the kitchen/diner which is well-equipped with all you need for a self-catering stay.

If you're lucky enough to get the warmer weather, venture out to the garden through the conservatory to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining on the patio, soaking in the fresh sea air and toasting to a fantastic holiday.

When the day draws to a close, climb the stairs and choose from one of the two well-presented bedrooms; the double or the twin room, both served by a stylish bathroom featuring a bath with overhead shower, basin and wc.

Thrill-seekers can partake in watersports such as sailing, windsurfing and kayaking at Portland Harbour, located just a short drive away, or if that's not your thing, take a leisurely stroll to a secluded beach, such as Cove Castle, Sandsfoot and Ferry Bridge beach.

Follow the Rodwell Trail along the disused railway line to Weymouth town centre, where you will find many shops, pubs and restaurants as well as many attractions to keep the whole family entertained, including donkey rides on the beachfront, amusements arcades and fairground rides, and the Weymouth Sea Life Centre and Adventure Park, providing a fantastic day out where you can discover the amazing underwater life and meet turtles, jellyfish, sharks and many more!

However you spend your time whilst holidaying in this popular seaside resort, Chalkhill View is a real home away from home that you will look forward to returning to at the end of each day.

About the location

WYKE REGIS

Weymouth 2 miles; Dorchester 9 miles.

Wyke Regis is a village on the south western side of Weymouth that sits on the northern edges of Portland Harbour and reaches as far as the back of Chesil beach and The Fleet, just two miles from the centre of Weymouth. There are local shops, cafés and restaurants including the famous Crab House café, with it’s own oyster beds on the doorstep. The National Sailing School, an Olympic legacy, offers a wide variety of water sports and is just two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour. The Fleet Lagoon that runs between Wyke Regis and Chesil beach is an important area for wildlife and there are many species of birds to be seen in the area, whilst Chesil beach is also a renowned spot for fishing. The Fleet is probably most famous for being the testing ground for Barnes Wallis’s bouncing bomb, immortalised in the film the Dam Busters. Wyke Regis is the perfect location from which to explore many of Dorset’s most iconic locations on the Jurassic Coast.
