  • "We have just returned from a lovely stay in this property."

Perfect location right by the beach and the outside patio with sea views is a little suntrap. Lovely hotel quality towels and sheets. We have stayed in this property before and will do so again in the future.

  • "Well first impressions ok but put your glasses on and you see the dust and dirt!"

Front door dirty, not welcoming! Kitchen units sticky and grimy. Drawers in kitchen need all cleaning out. Everything needs a good clean. Had to clean frying pan before use. Only cooked bacon once and we didn’t fancy cooking anything in kitchen! Cupboard under sink stunk. Washing machine absolutely dirty and stunk too. I bleached it and put dish washer tablet in to clean it. Settee, red blanket on back and you could see it was covered in dust. Put it outside to blow out! Didn’t put it back on. Settee needs pulling out and chair and deep cleaned. Floor absolutely filthy. We wore white socks and within minutes they were black literally! Bathroom fan downstairs didn’t work. Shower had black mould in but luckily I took Flash bleach and cleaned it every day. The same with the bathroom upstairs. Toilet at back filthy. Skirting boards needs cleaning. Handrail on stairs was sticky and dirty so cleaned that. Bed upstairs with wooden headboard covered in dust hadn’t been cleaned for months! I had to clean it because have allergy to dust mites but itched and scratched all week. Bedding was clean and towels though! Patio needs cleaning and weeding. Nice view but no comfy chairs to sit in to appreciate it. So disappointed considering the cost! When we stayed at The Willows in Preston in May that was absolutely fantastic and Sea Breeze was not a patch on The Willows. We had our disabled son with us and because he was so happy to be in Weymouth and on holiday my husband and I would have gone home. On the bright side whoever had it the week after us it was definitely cleaner than when we arrived. You could write your name on the thermostat in the kitchen!

  • "We had a lovely week at Sea Breeze, the location was brilliant, with beautiful views from the living room, bedroom and patio."

Really enjoyed being able to sleep with the window open and hear the waves. Two minute walk to the beach! Beds were really comfortable and it was handy to have 2 bathrooms (the hose on the downstairs shower needs a bit of attention though). The second bedroom being downstairs could be an issue for those with young children. I was worried it might be noisy at night, as there are a few cottages close together but it was nice and quiet, a little noise from the nearby car park in the mornings. All clean and well equipped, would very happily stay again. Also very handy if you’re using public transport, there’s a bus stop about 2 minutes away to get you into Weymouth town and a little shop over the road.

As we got here we found the parking space to the property, very near to the house. Very clean and all in good order, the property sleeps 4 adults very easy. And local shops and pubs are very good. Less than 2 minutes walk and you are on the beach. We would recommend this property to anyone.

  • "Was dirty, mould on plate, cutlery and pans needed washed as dried food on then, think discoloured limes scale on both bathroom taps bath, taps, showerhead hose."

Thick black dust on some of the switches, thick dirt and dust behind sink pedestals in top bathroom, food, crumbs onto sofa, cushions, broken, hinge on downstairs, bedroom, wardrobe, door, dirty oven, dirty sink, hole in upstairs bathroom. Called the Saturday. We got there and said the office is now closed where we were staying so cold again Sunday as didn’t hear anything they said the office so its time was still closed and it was the bank holiday Monday the day after. By Tuesday morning, I hadn’t heard anything so called the office again and they checked to see the messages from the office that I had spoken to and they said it was sent to an email that they don’t really use. What is told Maintenance man will come over to fix the door and also a cleaner. The maintenance man called and came over to repair the door had no call from my cleaner. Was sent a message via the hub link to send pictures in the description of the issues at 8 pm on Wednesday, replied to this message with Photos on Thursday morning. Received another message Thursday to say the cast was closed and hope we were happy with the resolution. So on Friday called the office to say there was nothing resolved and was told that they hadn’t received my reply. So screenshot it the messages and email them along with the photos of issues to the office where we were staying, so she could upload them and reopen the case. Most of my week away was spent dealing with these issues. Very unhappy very disappointed and spoil my whole holiday. I’m still waiting to hear a reply back from someone regarding the issues after the lady in the office, where we were staying, has reopen the case and uploaded the pictures.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I am sorry that the cleanliness was not up to its normally high standards on this occasion and there seems to be some missed communication.  We will be investigating all the issues you raised and we look forward to welcoming you back to Dorset again soon. • "We had a lovely stay."

The property was perfect for our family (we have two young children). The location is great, right by the beach and lots to explore nearby. The kitchen had everything we needed and beds were very comfy. Bathrooms are spacious and showers good. It's quite a small living space, but that's fine when it's warm enough to use the outside table. My only suggestion would be thicker curtains in the upstairs room. The sun came in and woke us very early most days!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback. Seeing in your feedback that you have young children has reminded me that I should put in the information book that there is a children's playground 10 minutes walk across the road. Will take a look at curtains upstairs because I have put blackout ones in downstairs bedroom. Hope you can visit gain. Property Owner

Lovely views of the sea from our bedroom and the patio. Comfortable bed and great shower pressure. Everything we needed was there. Would definitely return. Great bus service to pop in to town. Quiet area and great cafe oasis less than 2 minutes walk away on the beach. Harvester and shop just up the road. Parking was very useful and very close by.

Stayed in bed & breakfast, caravans, hotels. We saw these Holiday Chalets being built around 1990, and the wife always said she would love to stay in one. The best week in Weymouth 17/7/21, very hot weather and the sea at your doorstep. I have already booked for July 2023, This looks like a very good place to live. The place was clean and tidy and there were no issues with the place at all and would easily recommend the place to others. The only negative was that as I am rather a large gentleman the sofa has now gone a bit soft over the years so found it a bit uncomfortable for my back. There as also an issue with whoever turned up on wednesday afternoon to the place next door. He parked a van the size of a double decker bus right across the view all night and all next day whilst he took furniture in and out and did bike repairs on the shared patio.

  • "On arrival the property was as described and the lounge was "cosy" but the views from the patio were perfect."

We were intending to use this property on a total self catering basis and had no problem locating the supermarkets in the area. However, the oven would not get hot on the general fan setting, only with the booster. This was reported to Dream Cottages at the weekend of the first week. The saucepans were only a total of 3, one huge 1 and 2 smaller ones. When using them on the gas hob the handles became very hot and had to be lifted off with the use of a tea towel. There was also no indication in the file as to where to find the freezer which was eventually found in a cupboard in the hallway. The hand basin in the downstairs shower room had a huge chip in it and had been "plugged" from the outside but the cracks were getting bigger by the day. Again this was reported to Dream cottages. The television did not have a DVD player as described online. Once mentioned to the rep, she very kindly went and purchased a separate DVD player but left it for us to connect. We also enquired before booking about general access for a mobility scooter and were advised there was rear access. Im guessing that this is via the main front door as there is no access via the patio doors from the parking bay. Luckily for us there was some building work going on in an adjacent property and we were able to raid their skip. The builders were also very helpful and came up trumps with a piece of solid wood so that we were able to make a makeshift ramp to get the buggy over the lip of the front door entrance.

  • "The cottage was clean and comfortable."

However, sleeping in the downstairs bedroom was nigh impossible - a bright light shines constantly from outside, meaning the room is always fairly light through the night. Creaking floorboards from upstairs an issue too. The upstairs shower-over-bath is difficult - the screen doesn't meet the bath, so water runs everywhere. However, the VIEW from thew lounge/kitchen across to the sea is AMAZING! Really beautiful and calming. All set in a beautiful area. We had an issue with the outside bins being overfull on our arrival, and after a phone call this was dealt with promptly.
