    Susan the host is a lovely lady who lives next door if you need any help ,the cottage its just right for a couple much more spacious then we thought ,lovely comfortable bed,small kitchen area with a combination microwave, toaster and kettle and dining table, when we arrived fresh milk ,orange juice and water was in the fridge .we had a very enjoyable week staying at Walnut tree farm ,walks on your doorstep and a great local pub we would highly recommend this cottage, when we left Susan ...

The property

A traditionally-styled annexe surrounded by stunning countryside lands, Walnut Tree Farm is the perfect base for an English countryside retreat.

Sitting just outside of Yeovil, this Somerset property offers you and your loved one a truly romantic retreat.

When you're not wandering the surrounding beauty of the area, the open-plan living space is the perfect spot to kick back and relax, with the sitting area tucked away neatly in the corner, you can spread out on one of the two inviting sofas and watch a film on the television, or appreciate your countryside settings as the sun goes down through the impressive patio doors.

At the other end of the room you can find the modest kitchen area, holding all the essentials of a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, so you can enjoy a hearty breakfast and a cup of tea whilst sat out on the patio amongst the countryside breeze.

The dining table at the centre of the room is the perfect spot for a romantic setting, or simply get a takeaway from nearby Yeovil and relax in the evenings.

At the end of each day, retreat to the shower room for a refreshing shower, before heading to the double bedroom and cosying up beneath the duvet for the perfect end to an evening.

Take a stroll along the Chinnock Brook to reach Harding Mandeville boasting a warm and welcoming pub for you to enjoy a refreshing drink or choice, or for a wider selection of amenities, Yeovil has all you could need; a historic town with a good range of attractions, here you can find cuisines of all kinds, local shops, as well as a plethora of leisure facilities from golf to a variety of walks through its parks such as Abbey Manor and Ninesprings settled within the Yeovil Country Park and breathtaking landscapes.

Explore the National Trust's Montacute House with its impressive Long Gallery and gardens to roam, or uncover the history of the Yeovil Railway Centre.

The Dorset Area of Outstanding National Beauty can be found via a scenic car journey too, offering exquisite scenery and plenty of walking and cycling routes, while West Bay can be found slightly further afield where you can find stunning beaches and the wonder of the Jurassic Coast.

This English town with a vibrant market place rests in the southern region of Somerset, with its own football team, athletics club and leisure centre. It has a detailed history, with a background in aircraft and defence industries, making it a target for bombing in World War II. It boasts many attractions worth a visit and a thriving culture attracting visitors from all over. Pay a visit to the National Trust's Montacute House, which dates back to 1601 and plays host to a Long Gallery and pretty gardens.
