  • "After a long and arduous journey, we arrived in the rain after reception had closed and no one around only to find that Sykes had given us the wrong barrier code, eventually we found someone to help us."

The caravan was clean & nicely located. However, there were one or two issues: The toilet cistern in the en-suite was in a constant syphon and we couldn't stop the water flowing into the toilet and so it wouldn't flush, so we had to turn the water off and therefore couldn't use it. The shower runs out of hot water just as you've got soaped up which is frustrating. Apart from these issues the caravan was lovely and we had a good holiday.

Thank you for your comments. I’m so sorry that things were not as they should have been. The boiler and shower have now been descaled and serviced and are working properly. The en-suite toilet cistern has an intermittent fault, easily rectified by pressing the flush repeatedly so that the valve reseats itself. Property Owner

  • "Good: Nice views and very convenient for accessing the South West Coastal Path."

Clean, pleasant accommodation, generally well-equipped with good storage space. Nice balcony and patio furniture. Site is convenient for driving to most of the popular places in and around Swanage. Not so good: The code we were given to access the site was incorrect. Fortunately, a car pulled up behind us at the barrier and the driver gave us the correct code. Extractor fan in the shower room is very noisy and seems to need fixing. The plumbing doesn't seem right. In the middle of taking a shower the water suddenly changes from hot to freezing for no apparent reason. The walk up to the caravan from the main site entrance is incredibly steep and would be almost impossible if carrying shopping - you would definitely need to drive. Beds not particularly comfortable although I would imagine this would be the same for any caravan as opposed to a hotel room. I think some folk might feel a bit hemmed in by the proximity of other caravans in high season. Fortunately for us, most of the surrounding caravans were not occupied during our stay.

  • "92Daisy was a fabulous caravan to stay in."

The lounge/dining area was well furnished and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and excellent for those of us who really do self catering. The main bedroom had a super bed and both bedrooms had plenty of hanging areas and drawers. There was an en-suite in the main bedroom as well as a shower, loo and sink in the main bathroom. The central heating worked well . In fact we had to turn the radiator valves down. The balcony had plenty of sun for sitting out or possibly drying washing outside. The caravan is near the top of the site and away from the social facilities, which suited us, who appreciate peace and quiet. We would definitely recommend 92Daisy.

About the location

SWANAGE

  • Wareham 9.7 miles
  • Poole 20 miles

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
