"The property did smell of damp in the kitchen and bathroom but was not unexpected in a cottage of that age and location."
The sofa and easy chair did get a little uncomfortable after a while but we are both in our late 60's now and not so flexible.
The beds were very comfortable and with good reading lights.
There was plenty of reading material and good local information.
The cottage had been decorated and furnished sympathetically in keeping with the character of the property.
Useful selection of condiments and dry goods in the kitchen store cupboards, milk in the fridge and tea, coffee, sugar and sweeteners supplied.

"This is a lovely place to stay, we found the neighbours friendly and the cottage just as we hoped."
Hindon is a good base for exploring.
The only reason I didn't tick exceeded my expectations is that I always use Sykes so my expectations are now high!

"I stayed here for 3 nights with my sister."
It is a beautiful village and ideal for touring Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. The cottage is clean and cosy and very charming and with all amenities. Parking is 1 minute away just at the road at the side of the cottages. We spoke to the owner on the phone - she was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in a classic English country village in a very pretty cottage. The garden at the rear is beautiful but not idea for elderly people as it has some very steep steps however the front is very picturesque and secluded and a suntrap. We would definitely return for a longer period.

The dog was welcome and we enjoyed having a garden to sit in too. Area also lovely would recommend walking in the Deverills north of A303!

"Beckford Cottage offered us a perfect place to unwind in very pretty surroundings."
Comfortable and cosy and situated at the bottom of the village which gave us great views of the high street and the attractive red tiled roofs. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay in this charming village and loved the convenience it provided for local walks of which there are many.

"We had a lovely week."
The garden is so beautiful with all the flowers, smelling great in the evening. We've enjoyed spending time in the cosy cottage. We had a great time exploring Wiltshire. Wardour Castle, Stonehenge & Avebury, Salisbury Cathedral, Longleat House..... And we would never have dreamed to see all these wonderful sites under those sunny conditions! Thanks a lot for a great week in Hindon!
