    Everything you need plus lovely little extras including dog bed and games. Great information of the local area. Situated in a perfect place, lovely quiet village within easy reach of Longleat,Bath,Frome amongst others. Would highly recommend.

  • "Toilet seat broken and maybe kitchen could be better equipped but overall not to bad"

    Thank you for your feedback and I am glad you and your dogs enjoyed your stay . The toilet seat wobble has been fixed and we have discussed what extra is needed for the kitchen. Settled on the Wiltshire Somerset border in Dilton Marsh, is this inviting escape, Primrose Cottage.

This delightful, dog-friendly and family-friendly holiday home benefits from a fabulous setting with field views,close to Longleat with its safari and festival of light , as well as Stourhead National Trust which also puts on a magical Christmas light display.

There are local amenities in Warminster and Westbury andthe beauty of the AONBon the doorstep.

The historic city of Bath is 30 mins on the train or by car.

The cottage itself boasts a welcoming and stylish interior completed by two well-appointed bedrooms; the perfect setting for families or groups of six looking to explore Wiltshire with two of their beloved canine companions.

Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home, complete with artwork from local artists, where you can unwind on the plush seating in front of the Smart TV in the sitting room while the designated chef of the group gets acquainted with the fully-equipped kitchen.

Dine together at the table before stepping outside to raise a toast to your well-earned holiday on the front patio before travelling upstairs to wash off the day’s adventures in the bathroom.

When sleep calls, retire to either a double or twin bedroom, there is also a sofa bed sleeping two guests in the dining room.

If you can tear yourself away from this setting, stroll around to the Dilton Marsh Social club for a quick drink, or a lovely meal at the Weavers Arms just along the village.

You will find a farm shop with a play area and café just a few mins drive away – they do delicioius take away fish and chips too.

Head to Warminster for a greater range of amenities, including several pubs and restaurants, along with Warminster Museum where you can learn about the town’s past, and the Lakeside Pleasure Grounds are perfect for the little ones in the summer.

See if you can spot the Westbury White Horse, cut into the hillside many years ago, visit National Trust owned Stour Head where you can wander the breath-taking 18th century landscape garden with lakeside walks or even head to Stonehenge and uncover the incredible story of one of the world's most famous places.

The AONB also hosts an array of walking, hiking and cycling opportunities that reward guests with breath-taking views across the countryside, ideal for keen ramblers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The delightful Wiltshire market town of Warminster can be found to the south west of Salisbury Plain, at the head of the lush Wylye Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. No visit to this area would be complete without exploring Longleat, the UK's number 1 Safari Park, where you'll find a stunning Elizabethan house, expansive gardens, and a range of wildlife including monkeys, lions, and giraffes. Well known for its military connections, the old charm of the Warminster's town centre has been preserved, where you can still find quaint houses and inns built from the local Warminster stone. Just a two minute scenic walk away there are lovely walks in abundance. Warminster boasts three supermarkets, many restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, several antique shops, a museum, a theatre, a magnificent park with a lake, skatepark, tennis courts and a nature reserve, Smallbrook Meadows can be accessed on foot, starting with just a short stroll. The award-winning Warminster Maltings who still malt barley the traditional way for the beer industry, do occasional tours for visitors and cream teas in Summer. Alternatively, visits to the magnificent cities of Bath and Salisbury, or Stourhead, National Trust and Stonehenge, British Heritage are not to be missed.
