  • "The lodge was situated on a lovely, quiet part of the site."

It was spacious with plenty of storage space. The Welcome Pack was very much appreciated and the shower, in the bathroom, was fantastic. However, We found that the dining table was sticky and the chairs need replacing. The hob and cooker hood both needed a good clean. On arrival at the lodge there was a damp smell and despite having the windows open throughout our stay, there was still a lingering smell.

  • "We arrived to find the Key Safe Code was not the one given to us so it took well over an hour to actually get into the property."

Then on entering to find the Fridge door had been left open and warmed up inside - taking up to 24hrs to get back to cold, hence my food suffered after being out of a proper fridge for the best part of 18hrs. The Welcome Pack was appreciated - thank you very much! Although well presented the Unit is generally tired and in need of updating soon, dining chairs badly worn definitely not acceptable. However, the Property was comfortable overall - just a few things let it down. The master bedroom is not toe-friendly coming in and out as the King size bed to too big for the space and a large drawer unit in the corner not allowing the door to fully open enough thus leaving narrow access at the foot end into the room, and even narrower access along the window side, bashed toes were the order of the week. Also Lounge seating sticky in hot weather so used picnic blankets to sit on and spare pillows from the 2nd bedroom as cushions as none were provided. The south facing decked area at the front was initially appealing but with no shade / sun umbrella it was too hot to sit and enjoy it in full sun as no shade. We used a picnic blanket to sit on the grassy slope behind the car instead. Guest Information Book was useless as very out of date. To advise in case the owner is unaware, the Shower Screen in the Bathroom does not keep the water from the shower in the bathroom - the floor by the side of the bath and toilet seat gets a real soaking every shower. Shower screens for baths just do not work - a curtain is far better. Location of the unit was lovely, kept private away from general footfall was very much appreciated.

  • "The lodge is in a beautiful setting, reasonably spacious interior with comfortable seating and beds but lacking simple touches and cleaning materials including no handwash in bathrooms and no spare toilet rolls unfortunately what is supplied is of poor quality except the seating but we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it."

  • "Lodge was clean, comfy and fairly well equipped."

Could have done with more dishes for the oven. Tap in the kitchen was continously running when we arrived but a phone call had this sorted the same day. The cover for the dishwasher tablet was missing so we were unable to use the dishwasher. Despite these little niggles we had a lovely week.

  • "We had a relaxing stay at this property."

It was comfortable, situated amid a lovely set of trees—housing various types of birds and squirrels. Mostly quiet area, beautiful evening light. A peaceful weekend with lovely walks to have along the coast. All in all well-equipped, although a few items could do with some updating. Missing wi-fi not a big issue. Holiday parks certainly not everybody's cup of tea—still had a lovely time.

  • "The location, within a gated section of the park, was perfect for a really quiet and relaxing break."

The caravan was very spacious and it's south facing veranda led to alot of time outside, eating, relaxing and playing games. Perfect break was had by all.

Thank you for your kind review. We too love the peace and quiet that Oak Falls provides. Property Owner

  • "A very nice clean and comfortable caravan and quite warm."

A welcome pack of goodies was left for us which was very welcome. Lucky enough to have sun so sitting on the verandah was nice. A quiet area.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave some feedback. I was delighted to read your lovely review. Property Owner
