  • "No complaints whatsoever."

Very modern, clean, well prepared for our stay. All facilities, good library of DVD's books, games etc. Winter stay and very warm. The bungalow is an extension of the main house but it is completely self contained with own parking right outside front door & off road. Very quiet with no main road traffic. No very nearby facilities like shops or pubs within walking distance but we knew that & came prepared. Good size accommodation for two people & not cramped in any way. Once in the property you would not know that it was not fully dethatched.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Lilac Lea."

Phil was a gracious & helpful host. We appreciated the breakfast package on our first day & the help/tutorial on how to operate & get the best use out of the log burner. Lovely location, remote, but easy to get to the main attractions by car. There are plenty of great walks & pretty villages in the area, this site was a great help in finding them: https://dorsettravelguide.com/dorset-coast-walks/ The Royal Oak in Bere Regis is under new management. Had a meal there & very satisfied. Lilac Lea is a great place with helpful owners & we'd be happy to stay here again when visiting Dorset.

Lovely friendly and helpful owner, Phil, who was available if needed. Ingredients for a cooked breakfast found in fridge on our arrival as a welcome gift were much appreciated. Dog friendly. Accommodation clean and very comfortable, with patio seating area and parking right by front door. Bed very comfortable. Felt very happy here and made to feel welcome. I hope we can return. Great location for day trips to places of interest etc.
