The property

A beautiful stone cottage in the heart of the Dorset village of Langton Herring.

On the ground floor the property has two sitting rooms both with woodburners, providing you a cosy retreat at any time of the year.

You can prepare a tasty treat in the modern and spacious kitchen and relax and enjoy quality family time in the dining room.

Why not take a drive to nearby Abbotsbury and visit the Swannery and then drive on to West Bay famous for the ITV drama Broadchurch?

A little further to the West of Abbotsbury is the Georgian market town of Bridport with its bi-weekly street markets, England’s oldest family run business in Balsons butchers (est 1515), Leakers artisan bakery and Snooks hats, amongst many interesting shops.

A charming, rural, coastal village set in a West Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in an elevated position above the Fleet Lagoon and Chesil Beach. Known as a Thankful Village, as all men returned from both World Wars, Langton Herring is dotted with pretty thatched cottages and the local pub boasts connections to smugglers and their contraband! A stroll along the adjacent coastal path provides you with spectacular views across the Fleet Lagoon, home to many migrant birds, whilst a trip to nearby Abbotsbury, with its swannery and sub tropical gardens is a must. Alternatively, visit Weymouth with its bustling harbour or just soak up the sun enjoying the watersports and numerous attractions. Should you tire of all this take the scenic coastal journey towards West Bay, the setting for TV’s Broadchurch series. A picturesque village offering a peaceful West Dorset holiday base, which you won’t want to leave!
