"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
A great position, very quiet, local to all amenities. The house was warm and comfortable. There was an easy walk to the town and beach. As we like to cook, the property could have used some covered casserole dishes for the oven and a mixing bowl. We would definitely stay again.

"Spotless cottage, almost like a new show house, everything was there that would be needed for your stay, internet was easy to connect and the walk to the beach and shops was very short at about 10 mins, bed was very comfortable, definitely recommend staying here."

"It was such a quiet area, so close to the sea, and the cottage was so tastefully decorated, simple but with a real holiday flavour!"
Everything worked really well and the heat and hot water were just right.

"I chose Sea Drift because it was in a residential area where I could park my car on the drive and not worry about finding a parking space."
It was a quiet neighbour hood and an excellent base to explore the area on foot and being so close to a nature reserve was a bonus.
I work for the NHS on the frontline and I needed to decompress and Sea Drift was very comfortable accommodation and I found I was able to relax. And the owners paintings were just beautiful!

"Clean,comfortable holiday home."
Could probably do with a few more cooking utensils and advice on Dorset recycling policy for the 2 bins. This said we had a great time and after a day in the fresh air it was a pleasure to open front door and relax.

Just a couple of suggestions - instructions for when and which bins to put out for collection would be good. Heated towel rail didn’t come on at all. Otherwise ideal for two people.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Sea Drift."
It was just a 10 minute walk through the park to the sea front and about a 30 minute walk in the other direction to get to the centre of Weymouth town. The accommodation itself was ideal for 2 people and had everything we needed. It wasn’t the cleanest, in regards to hoovering, but as one is available we soon sorted that out! We would return here.

"This was the first time we've used Sykes, so no idea what to expect."
Everything was as per the description, the property was clean and well decorated, and the perfect size for the two of us, while the location was convenient for both the beach and local bus routes. We would have no hesitation in staying here again, and will certainly look at Sykes' properties for future holidays.
A couple of niggles: the bins hadn't been emptied, possibly for some time, and smelled quite badly, although we were able to put the recyclables and food bins out when the dustmen came round, which helped. Fortunately the weather wasn't scorching hot! There was no remote control for the DVD player, which was inconvenient. One leg of the dining table had to be wedged with cardboard, otherwise it wobbled.
Apart from the above, which are relatively minor issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Sea Drift'.

"Mostly, it was size of accommodation."
Pictures must have been taken with wide-angle lens. Rooms were tiny! Barely room for minute 2 seater sofa! Given that we had bad weather, we were forced to spend more time inside than ideal, and we were so cramped. Similarly, outside space was just the end of the drive, behind the car.
We would also have appreciated instruction on how to boost the hot water. Sometimes there was not enough for 2 showers and we didn't find the boost until the day we went home.

"Clean, comfortable and well equipped."
Especially so given C 19!
Very good location for coast, town and park/reserve.
Minor issues with WiFi- password in folder incorrect but successfully found on plus net box!
No DVD handset, worked okay, but impossible to change menu to obtain subtitles.
Also minor but a stale water smell came and went in bathroom - intermittent.
A very nice place for two for a getaway- enjoyed accommodation and location.

"Overall was a lovely stay in a lovely house!"
Very close to the beach (around a 15 minute walk through a lovely park or around 20 minutes down the main road) it’s close to a bus stop if needing to carry things around Weymouth and having no access to cars.
The house was very clean on arrival and was beautifully decorated! The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve slept in!
There was a few issues that came about the longer we stayed- the shower would randomly turn off, the hot water was a constant battle and unfortunately the outside bins were full- wine bottles ect looked like they were pilled up over weeks and weeks. The recycling bin smelt whenever you walked by it and the main bin was a fight to get anything in it. Overall- these things are easily sorted (possibly having the bin timetable in blue folder- we understand bins are taken every two weeks as they rotate between recycling and general waste weekly) we found this out through the neighbours. Another issue was the fire alarm going off by even the smallest of tasks like doing toast.
Was a lovely holiday and will definitely be going back to dream cottages next year! Thank you for the lovely stay!

"Sea Drift is ideally placed in Weymouth and for easy access to the Dorset coastline, it is situated on a housing estate but it was very quiet."
The house is very compact with just a two seater settee to sit in comfort so can feel as though you are on top of one another especially if you put your elbows up when reading or drinking your cuppa you can easily nudge the person next to you. But as we were out and about most of the time not a real problem. The bedroom was more spacious and the bed was really comfortable and the shower is a good size also it is a bonus that it has a driveway for the car. The weather was lovely so we were able to get out and about, the Jurassic coastline is stunning and being Situated in Weymouth you can get to most places without driving too far, we even drove over into Sidmouth in Devon, Corfe Castle is a must and Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Went to Swanage and old Harry Rocks, if you park in the South beach NT car park there is a lovely pub with really good food and a drink for when you have completed the walk to the rocks called The Bankes Arms. They have an outdoor seating area across the road to enjoy the views and the sunshine. Overall a lovely holiday and some stunning photos.

"The television wasn't working on arrival."
It was fixed the following day but it still suffers with a constant buzzing noise when you are watching a program; couldn't be bothered to phone up again to report it. I have to say that a television with a separate Freeview box is very old and should be replaced with something more straightforward for people to use.
