  • "A very well equipped and comfortable house with all we could need."

A place with its own parking is a bonus. Ideally situated being so close to all amenities. Plenty of flat level walking from the front door. We loved it.

  • "We have stayed in this house over many years for holidays before new ownership last year."

Standards still as high, with some more modern additions ( new settee, dishwasher, and useful sensor light outside front door etc) Key box outside easy to use. Kept well informed by emails from Sykes cottages , and Sykes staff very friendly & efficient on phone calls to book. Will definitely try to book Quay cottage again for future holidays, as its always been our 'little home from home' and still feel so comfortable there under the new ownership. Perfectly positioned near to seafront, with flat walks to seafront, shops, bars & restaurants, Poole Park etc and can park the car in own driveway in front of house. Thanks for a lovely week. How lovely, so good to hear you have enjoyed the house again. Thank you for a super review, we do appreciate it and hope you will come again. We will be with Sykes all next year and it's good to know they are so helpful on the phone. Sally & David Property Owner

  • "The property, location and luckily the weather was brilliant."

The sea two minutes away with town less than ten minutes. The local tesco eight minutes. Two suggestions for improvements 1 A cabinet in bathroom 2 An airer to save electricity Overall score 9.5/10

  • "We have stayed at this cottage for our last several visits to Poole, as it fits our needs perfectly."

The location is ideal, withing easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and pubs, as well as to public transport. It is difficult to find anything to criticise; however, it would have been nice to have had a change of bed linen mid-stay.

  • "We have stayed at this cottage often enough over the past several years for it to seem almost like a second home to us."

We had an absolutely delightful time on this last visit. The location could hardly be better, and the size is perfect for two people. The only item that I would like to see added (if at all feasible) would be an exterior light at the front entrance, to be turned on if the occupant(s) expect to return after dark.

Hello Ed, we have installed a light over the door especially for you ! It comes on after dark and has movement sensor. The weather is great today, Hope it holds out till you arrive and you have a beautiful time. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay."

It was a very hot week and I was pleased the house did not get too hot. Would have been nice to have curtains in the bedrooms as I found the blinds flapped about a lot in the hot windy weather. (This is a minor point). Everything was very clean. The location is quiet but close to the front and the centre. If we come again we would bring some DVDs (we have got rather used to smart TV) again this is a minor point.
