  • "Lovely cottage, great location, beds a bit soft and no bbq (listed) but otherwise great"

Thanks for your kind review and I hope that you had a great stay at number 7. Apologies, but there is no longer a BBQ at number 7. The BBQ was removed nearly 2 years ago out of respect for our elderly neighbour who doesn't like the smoke and smell of barbecued food. The relevant details were removed from the listing at this time but unfortunately a photograph showing a BBQ was not removed. This has only been brought to our attention very recently and is being dealt with by the team at Sykes. Again, apologies for any inconvenience caused and we hope this clears up any confusion for both you and future guests. Property Owner

  • "Easy company to deal with, thanks."

One thing for owner of No7, one of the photos show a BBQ, but not there (to be fair it is not in description). Need to clarify, especially as you can’t buy disposable BBQs in the New Forest area. This latter point could be made clear, so folk could bring a disposable from home.

  • "We loved the cottage, would highly recommend it , the location, cleanliness, facilities were super."

It was fantastic overall. It Would be even better if the broadband was faster than 2mbps and the kitchen knives were a bit sharper and we never found the bbq that was in the photo of the back garden. But these are minor in comparison to the overall experience.

Ideally situated in the loveliest of towns, it was a haven to return to at the end of our days exploring the New Forest.

  • "The house is very well designed, attention to detail in the facilities and provisions within the property for guests and pets."

Every need has been considered, home from home. The location is perfect, quiet location, short walk to the harbour, the historic street scene, the railway station (noise free) and short drive to the forest. We had a wonderful week in No.7 and will certainly recommend to our friends and family.

  • "Number 7 is a good holiday home for anyone with or without a dog wanting to stay in the fabulous Lymington area."

The house is clean and the beds are comfortable and there is a good shower. The garden is great for a dog and it is secure. There is a parking space; a real bonus in Lymington and the station and buses are close by. An early morning walk in the New Forest is less than 10 minutes away by car and there is plenty to do on land and sea right on the doorstep.
