  • “The magnolia cottage itself is very nice and designed well.”

But very uncomfortable settees.Too low which made it difficult to get up from. Cooker in kitchen although has a nice appearance it was not practical when using the oven as it was at floor level and my wife and I in senior years found that an issue. We appreciate the refund due to building work close to the cottage. The area is not somewhere we would visit again but magnolia cottage is very and in very attractive surroundings. We appreciate the refund due to building work close to the cottage. The area is not somewhere we would visit again but magnolia cottage is very and in very attractive surroundings. Our journey home was good and M4 was quiet traffic wise.We stopped in Burford Oxfordshire and had a lovely meal at the Cottswold Gateway hotel before continuing to our home.

The property

Magnolia Cottage is a lovely single-storey cottage across the drive from the owner's home and on the edge of the village of Chilcompton.

It has been stylishly refurbished to create a welcoming and bright home.

From the well equipped kitchen there is a large and light sitting room complete with dining table and chairs, plus leather sofas and a welcoming wood burning stove ensure that this is a relaxing space.

The two bedrooms are smart and comfy.

Immediately to the front of the cottage is an enclosed gravelled area with a bench and table to enjoy the view of the shared lawn area and long rural views beyond.

Chilcompton is a great base from which to explore this diverse area of Somerset; trips to Glastonbury, the beautiful cathedral city of Wells or further afield to historic cities of Bath and Bristol are all within easy reach.
