The property

Stables Cottage is a conversion of a former stables and is located in Rockbourne, Hampshire.

It is one part of a fascinating group of Grade 1 listed, medieval buildings.

It can be booked alone, or as a group with ‘The Tallet’.

Many of its original features have been kept intact, such as the original beams.

It is perfect for friends and families. It has an open plan living room with a wood burning stove, a TV, DVD player and WiFi, a dining area and fitted kitchen.

They have a choice of three super king-size or twin bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room and WC and a separate family bathroom and WC. They have a brick-paved gravelled area with furniture and a barbecue, with a view of the surrounding farmland.

There is also a hard tennis court available to use.

New Forest is one of England’s oldest remaining forests and is now National Park.

It has activities for walkers and cyclists, as well as plenty of wildlife to spot, particularly the famous wild ponies which roam freely.

Fordingbridge is a short drive away and has many independent stores, pubs and restaurants. A trip to Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum is not to be missed.

This is a great location for exploring this picturesque and interesting area. Stables Cottage is the perfect countryside break.

Fordingbridge is a traditional Hampshire town on the banks of the River Avon, and offers a good mix of shops, pubs and restaurants, a small museum of local history and a display of original work by the artist Augustus John, who lived here for many years. The medieval Great Bridge, with seven graceful arches, is a major feature of the town. The immediate area is a wonderful place for visitors, with its beautiful scenery, nature havens, cycleways and welcoming people. Fordingbridge is conveniently situated for the magnificent cathedral city of Salisbury to the north, and the super seaside resort of Bournemouth to the south. The stunning New Forest National Park is only 1.5 miles from the town, where you can explore thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodland frequented by wild ponies, and dotted with quaint villages and country pubs. Within a short drive is the magnificent Elizabethan manor house at Breamore, as well as the New Forest Water Park, and a trip to Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum is not to be missed.
