  • "The apartment in Weymouth was lovely."

Absolutely spotless and very comfortable. It's location overlooking the sea but just a short walk into the middle of Weymouth was ideal. The owner made us very welcome and the little extras left for us were very much appreciated. Highly recommended. Lovely apartment in a loverly place.

  • "This apartment really provides all you could want for a perfect holiday."

Fantastic sea view from all front windows. Gate from garden onto beach. Short walk to town . Huge light filled rooms with quality furnishings, spotlessly clean. Fully equipped full kitchen. Games, should it ever rain in Weymouth. Hosts are very friendly and will go the extra mile, and are close by should you need them. This is my 2nd Holiday at Grandview and I will be booking again for next year. We also like that there is parking for 1 car at property, so no worrying about that.

Thank you Elaine for taking time to write the lovely 5* review. It means so much to us that you have enjoyed your stay and love so many aspects of the apartment and we never get tired of the views of the sea the bay from the windows! Its always very special to welcome back previous guests and look forward to seeing you next year. Property Owner

The facilities are first class and the property has an unbeatable position overlooking the promenade and sea. We are always given a warm and generous welcome by the owners.

Oh thank you for your kind comments. It really is our pleasure welcoming back guests to stay again and we are genuinely so happy that you chose to enjoy another holiday at Grandview. It was lovely meeting again and hearing of your plans for the week...and no doubt you especially appreciated the sea being so close with the very sunny weather last week! • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Grandview."

The apartment has large and airy rooms, with the main ones enjoying panoramic views across the bay. There is direct access to the promenade and beach through the back garden via a side gate and from there you can either walk into town in one direction, or to the country park in the other. No need to take the car out! The property is well-equipped and the owners clearly take care to ensure that all is in order, providing a super welcome pack to start your holiday and being easily contactable for any questions you may have. We have stayed in many different UK holiday homes over the years - Grandview is among the best for a seaside break.

Thank you Alan for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. We are delighted that you rate us so highly over other places you have stayed and that you loved how accessible everything is by foot. We look forward to welcoming you back, kind regards. Property Owner

  • "5* accommodation, 5* location and the owner of the property (and family) were one of the nicest families I have ever come across."

The apartment was everything we imagined and more. Everything was catered for, and thought out with a lovely welcome gift, I'm slowly making my way through the Dorset Tea. It was amazing to have parking on site for one car and a stones throw away from the beach...literally, I could throw a stone out of the window, I didn't, but I could. If I have to think of something to make it a 5** would be no stair gate on the stairs which would be useful for next year when I come again and my baby will be a crawling baby. Definitely looking to book Grandview for next year as there is nothing that would beat this place. It was home from home. Thank you for the most magical week. P.S. The Chinese you recommended was DELICIOUS!

Many thanks for your fantastic review Steph, it was such lovely reading. We were genuinely touched by your feedback and appreciate all the fantastic comments about the apartment and us! we look forward to welcoming you back next year, with best wishes until then... Property Owner

As a base to explore Dorset its perfectly located, and having a space to park means you can leave the car and wander the promenade into Weymouth or up to sea life centre. Michelle also made sure we were happy during our stay, and made us feel welcome. Now I just have to work out how much I need to save per month to book again next summer

Thank you so much Darren for such a wonderful review it is really lovely for us to read. We so are pleased that you were made to feel so welcome and that you had a fabulous stay. • "Our first impression on arriving at the property was quite disappointing very unappealing outside and the entrance, we wondered what we would find inside."

The inside gave a better impression the view was amazing even in the rain. A lot of thought had been taken in providing for everyone’s needs for a good holiday. The pathway down to the small paved area that is available for use is very untidy and overgrown and not at all inviting so therefore we did not use. The grassed area is not for use. We still enjoyed our holiday.

Thank you for your comments on the initial appearance of Grandview on arrival. We will endeavour to improve the entrance to match guests expectations. We appreciate arriving and parking to the rear of Grandview is less impressive than the front of the property which sits on the stunning Jurassic Coast. We do check the beach path before guests’ arrival and since your feedback have tied back the hollyhocks We appreciate your constructive review and are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. It has brilliant views over the sea and coastline, and the beach is just down the garden and across the promenade. It is very well equipped, and the table, chairs and sunshade in the garden were useful. The beach was mostly quiet in June, but with the occasional dog and horse. It is pebbly, then sand under the sea. Good restaurants nearby and a short drive away. A short walk into the town, and the harbour. We would like to come again.

2 adults and 2 children. The flat was so large and spacious and the garden area is an amazing added bonus catching the last rays of sunshine. Using the gate to access the beach was brilliant with 2 young children just 2 minutes to pop back for the toilet or anything else they'd forgotten. There are so many extras including a beautiful vase of roses that outlasted our stay... can't say the same for all the other goodies

It really lived up to its name, with wonderful views of the sea and coast from kitchen, main bedroom and living room. It was great to be able to use the little back gate to gain direct access to the esplanade and beach. Weymouth has a lovely harbour, with cafes, pubs and restaurants, and is also a good base to visit other places along the Jurassic coast, e.g. Chesil beach. We can recommend the sub tropical gardens at Abbotsbury and Henry VIII's fort at Portland, also the Nothe fort in Weymouth.

  • "A large comfortable flat with a view to die for just 10 minutes walk from the train station."

Even better than the listing which doesn’t mention the beautiful sunrises over the sea that you can enjoy if you get up early enough. A great location with direct access to the beach and car free prom via a gate at the side of the building. It was a lot more expensive than other flats we looked at in Weymouth and more than we would normally pay. However we had no regrets and were glad that we had treated ourselves. I’ve only given 4 stars for facilities because of a couple of very minor issues - one of the sofas has lost a bit of its seating support. Nice having a sink in the second bedroom but need a hook to hang the towel. We couldn’t find instructions for TV or gas fire, I’m sure the owner would have helped but we managed to work things out after some trial and error. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this lovely flat.

Thank you Wendy, it was so nice this morning to read such a lovely review of your time at Grandview and that it exceeded your expectations. We are delighted that you enjoyed the stunning sunrises over the bay, it is very special. We appreciate your feedback and will follow up the minor issues mentioned. We hope that you 'treat' yourself again and look forward to welcoming you back to Grandview, with best wishes until then, Julie & Michelle. Property Owner

  • "We were made welcome by Michelle, fresh flowers and treats were awaiting our arrival."

The flat is very spacious and well furnished with wonderful sea views. The kitchen is really well equipped too. The only slight niggle is that the small patio available for guests needs tidying and weeding. We also could not get into the summerhouse, although I am sure this would have been sorted out if we had broached it. Would recommend this property especially with the easy access from the garden to the beach.

We are glad you had a lovely stay and thank you for your kind words regarding the welcome and accommodation at Grandview. Normally the patio has a proliferation of wild flowers growing amongst the stones however this year the heatwave has killed them off and they do look like weeds; the gardener has now got on top of this. We are have checked and the old Victorian summerhouse doors do slide open, as you said we would have happily assisted you with this. Thank you Michelle & Julie Property Owner

These e mails have started again. Sykes will now be blocked. Sykes will never be recomended by me I would definately warn people to not enter your site. Now you inform me you have set up a Sykes account for me.
