  • "I’m very sad to say that we were very disappointed on this occasion with our stay , although the property was clean and tidy on arrival…."

We didn’t get a decent nights sleep the entire week. This was due to the residents living above banging constantly throughout the night , from midnight through to the early hours and then stomping around and banging doors at 5 am with no consideration for anyone else in the accommodation!. We feel sad that after using dream cottages every year for a very long time and always having been very happy that this ruined our holiday due to no sleep. No parking at the rear of the property due to how the other residents park … however we did get a goodwill gesture of £20 back due to this. All in all just very disappointing

HI, We are happy that you found the flat itself clean and tidy. We apologise about the noise and will bring it to the attention of the residents in the flat above. We have on Sunday put a new sign warning other people not to park in the allocated parking space. There is free parking however in front of the flat. Property Owner

  • "The flat was good although the entrance hall to the house was not inviting."

A short walk to the sea front was good. Unfortunately there was aleak in the bathroom ceiling coming through the light fitting. Phoned the maintentance staff and Mark came out could't do anything as the people in the flat above were out. Told us not to put the light on. Came back next day with a plumber and an electrician. Everything fixed?? No chance it was leaking again by early evening. Nobody could come out on a Sunday. Wanted to move and were eventually offered five different properties incuding a fifth floor flat and a third floor falt, both without lift access - we are in our 70's. Only place suitable was 3 miles outside Weymouth, not ideal but we needed to get out of the current flat. It took the Sykes people all day to organise. A full day ruined as well as the two half days waiting in.Information from Head Office was poor and no apology, not what we expected from Sykes, who we have used for many years. The claim that there is a parking space is suspect as one of the othe flat owners continually used flat B's space. We did use another space but got an abrupt note form flat D. All the spaces were never full over the weekend, perhaps some of the flat occupiers were enjoying a break away.

Hi, we are pleased you thought the flat was good. We apologise about the leak from the upstairs flat that is not owned by ourselves and liaised with Mark at Dream Cottages to get this fixed as quickly as possible. I have raised the points you made about the Sykes head office with the local office. There is as you say a parking space marked ‘B’ and nobody should be using it except the residents of Prominade way. Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment with everything you need."

easy walking distance to the beach and town centre, shops etc. Only difficulty was the advertised parking. No chance of getting even a small car into parking bay B, due to the way the other permanent residents park their vehicles. It was easy enough to find on street parking nearby during our stay in May, but the time restrictions increase from 1st June, so be warned. Didn't spoil our enjoyment and would book again.

  • "There are real positives with this apartment - the location is great, and the apartment is light and airy, with high ceilings, and it's very clean."

However, the single beds have really uncomfortable mattresses which made it difficult to get much sleep, and the apartment would benefit from a bit more attention to detail, such as lamps in the lounge as the lighting is too bright. The main problem with the apartment though is the entrance hallway, stairs and landing to the house. I was really shocked when I first arrived as these areas are so dingy - dirty and scruffy, and the smell is so unpleasant. I appreciate that this is something that the owner cannot solve single-handedly but I really didn't like entering or leaving the building for this reason and wouldn't make a repeat booking.

Hi, we are pleased that you liked the location of the apartment and found it clean. The mattresses are from John Lewis and less than a year old and only used a few times. The carpet on the stairs and landing is also new. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "It’s a really nice flat."

Perfect for what we wanted and was super clean. What was annoying that there is no way to fit 5 cars in that car park ( as 4 people are also living there) and when I did have a space I was asked to move by two of the residents though the holiday, so had to park else where, then we couldn’t move the car all holiday, incase we lost the space, very annoying. Also annoying was the guy who lived above, his phone kept vibrating all thought the night. Am assuming he must of been a Uber driver as this happened many times every night, followed by all the banging and slamming of doors it was a horrible nights sleep every night for us.

Hi, We're pleased that you liked the flat and found it 'super clean'. The parking to the rear of the flat is marked with a 'B' and there should be nobody else parked there. Everyone parks on the diagonal to maximise the space. We've not had anybody mention the vibration from a phone before and will monitor this situation, thank you for bringing it to out attention and for your feedback. Property Owner
