"Disappointed that no washing machine as we were staying for a week we expected there to be one ."
Minimal equipment :- no egg cups. Also owner away for all the time we were there. No one about for help
We decided when building the lodges not to have washing machines as we liked the extra space in the kitchens. The lodges are advertised with no washing machines mentioned.
I have asked many guests if the lodges didn’t have something they would have liked and egg cups never mentioned, but I will make sure I buy some. Yes I was away, but both my husband and son were at home while you were on your stay as mentioned when we spoke, all contact numbers were left inside if any help or advise was needed. Property Owner

"Loved this Lodge!"
Great views! We had a warm welcome from the Geese and ducks when we arrived and the young Goslings. They have been a delight to us during our stay and we shall miss them! Lodge was clean and well equipped. We did bring our own towels, teatowels and oven gloves. Bedding was clean and beds were made up. Rooms are very spacious. WiFi is good. Large fridge/freezer. Great heating and hot water. In fact no problems at all. Would recommend this Lodge.

"Heron View Lodge is an amazingly peaceful place to stay."
I'm already missing the visits from the ducks wanting to be fed.
Seeing a roe deer the first evening I arrived was incredible
I have a new bat detector and made use of it in the evenings, I identified 3 different breeds of bats
Listening to tawny owls in the evening is so relaxing and seeing a barn owl fly past was great.
Its fantastic to stay somewhere with no artificial light interference star gazing is so much better.
The pub up the road serves great homemade food, the owners are wonderful
Tracy met me on Saturday, she asked me to drive carefully when on the property due to the ducks and cats-no problem its their home,

"Unfortunately no DVD available"
Thank you for your feedback.
The TV has an inbuilt DVD player in it and you enter the disk in at the side of the TV itself.
The remote control is a 2 in 1 to operate both the TV and DVD player to make it easier for guests to use.
I'm sorry that you were unable to find it during your stay. Property Owner

"The Heron Veiw Lodge was much more than we expected."
It was spacious but warm and cosy. It was very well presented and clean.
It was situated close to the farm and the views were great, as were the stars on a clear night.
The fixtures and fittings and the soft furnishings were very good quality. I would definitely recommend it

"We had a great time at Heron View (despite poor weather)."
The lodge is spacious, warm and well equipped with fantastic views (weather permitting!!) and a variety of nature and bird life on and around the lake. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The location is quiet, but Shepton Mallet (and amenities) is only a few miles away and in easy reach of a wide variety of attractions at Wells, Cheddar, Frome, Street and further afield. Pub serving good tasty food in a few minutes walking distance.
