  • "We arrived to find a beautiful tea tray with fresh flowers and biscuits ( Liz’s mum’s recipe) tea, coffee, fresh milk and eggs from Liz’s hen."

The property is exactly as described.Clean fresh and tidy. A wealth of local knowledge is available to you not only within the property but from Liz herself. Close to local amenities and a good start point for Beaminster, Bridport, Lyme Regis.or inland to Yeovil or Glastonbury. This is an ideal property for a relaxing holiday.

  • "I would like to say just how much we enjoyed our stay."

The cottage was clean and so well equipped. The extras such as the homemade shortbread and cut flowers were a lovey touch. We felt totally safe letting our dog out into the garden and as for the meadow, that was just amazing. We all loved it, especially Duncan. We would 100% recommend The Granary and hope to return next year as there is so much more if the area to see.Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

  • "Our family of three had a very enjoyable stay at The Granary cottage."

The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The log burner was a lovely addition. The property is well placed for trips within Dorset and Somerset. Liz, the owner was marvellous and really made a huge effort to make us feel welcomed. Our daughter really loved collecting the fresh eggs from the hens.

  • "A very enjoyable holiday in a comfortable and well equipped cottage."

One small complaint, however. The fridge, which worked well, was very noisy and could be irritating when we were sitting watching the TV or reading. As the kitchen and seating areas were in the same space, there was no escape! We were impressed by the cleanliness in all areas of the property.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I can confirm we have now replaced the fridge with a lovely new one that is very quiet. Property Owner

Liz was so friendly and welcoming, and it was such a priviledge to be able to exercise the dogs in the lovely orchard. Would certainly like to stay there again.

  • "Lovely cottages and grounds."

We booked both together as a family. Beautiful surroundings, everything you need facilities wise. We had lots of information from the owner prior to and upon arrival which was really helpful. The enclosed meadow was very much enjoyed by our four legged companions and a bonus considering they had enclosed spacious gardens to also run around in. All in all a lovely stay very accessible to all areas of Dorset, will definitely come again.

  • "Lovely cottage, ideally placed for visiting Dorset and Devon coastline."

Spotlessly clean, nice and warm and plenty of hot water. Well fenced in garden for the dog plus a 2 acre dog proof paddock just behind the farm house which was very useful too. Also a large parking space right in front of the cottage was ideal. The owner Liz was very helpful. Lent me a selection of maps for walking and advice on where the best places were to go with the dog. A lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble, so thank you Liz for making my stay so enjoyable.

The cottage was ideal although a few minor things needed some maintenance. We would happily stay there again. We used the busy local pub for some good takeaway meals.

00 pm. We would have expected the property to have been professionally deep cleaned but it obviously wasn't.

  • "Great comms from the owner and Sykes before we arrived set me up to thinking this would be a great break and it was."

We loved our stay at the Granary, it's a great spot to explore from and the village has lovely independent shops and a coop where you get most of what you need. The accommodation was all we needed too and the 2 acre enclosed paddock for the dogs to run free was especially loved by all. I do wish I'd had access to a mop whilst there to keep the kitchen floor properly clean of dog paw prints Sadly we didn't get to use some of the veggies the garden that owner offered us access to, but the eggs were very welcome as were the lovely biscuits that my son devoured. I will def come back to the Granary, many thanks to the owner for opening up during the pandemic :)

She also let our boys come and feed her chickens, collect eggs and vegetables every morning which they really enjoyed. We all really enjoyed the holiday and would love to come back next year.

  • "The cottage was nice and comfortable, but the easy chairs and settee are a bit tired."

We found that the hot water was extremely hot, to the point of scolding if you were not careful. The other point of annoyance was the fridge, it made a lot of noise when the compressor was running to the point of distraction. All other aspects were fine and we were made to feel very welcome. The area at the bottom of the garden, where the dogs could run free was excellent, and a lovely place to be.

  • "Liz & Ian were very lovely, we didn't see them for a few days as they were away."

We did meet the handyman who was also very lovely & helpful, & we had his contact number if we needn't it. There were four adults & three big dogs in the cottage, but it didn't feel crowded. The large bedroom had a bathroom with bath, but no shower over it. The other bathroom did have a small shower, which all of use used. There was plenty of hot water to go around ( all the time ). The paddock was lovely & safe, well keeped with wild area's so the dogs had a lovely time every morning. So did us humans ! We had the twin room, beds were comfy but they did creak when you go in or out of them, if you are a little person (child) don't think that would be a problem ! Had to turn the heating down as we had lovely weather, so it was warm inside. Would we go back ? Yes we would !!
