The property

Resting in the quaint seaside town of Swanage on the south east coast of Dorset, lies this tasteful, two-bedroom holiday apartment, Nine Barrow View.

With superb access to nearby attractions and amenities, this property serves as a great base for families seeking a relaxing, self-catered stay on the Dorset coastline.

Once you’ve unpacked your belongings, make the most of your new dwelling by cooking up a storm in the well-appointed kitchen space, where delicious meals can be prepared to be savoured around the dining table or whilst perched on the sofa as you watch a film or two on the TV.

In the evenings, treat yourself to a long, indulgent bath before retreating to one of two bedrooms, including a plush double that functions as a perfect sanctuary wherein you can rest and recuperate ahead of another exciting day.

If you can tear yourself away from your favourable lodgings, be sure to explore your local area by stocking up on essentials at the Court Hill Stores; reserve a table at the Black Swan Inn; or grab some fish and chips from a seafront cafe to enjoy whilst sat on the lush sands of the Swanage Beach.

You’ll find plenty of things to see and visit whilst you’re in town, including the outstanding natural location of the Purbeck Heritage Coast, where you and your loved ones can spend an afternoon taking in gorgeous sea views, whilst having fun at K’s Funworld.

A great spot to have fun whilst getting rid of all your spare change.

The chain ferry between Studland and Sandbanks provides a short cut to Poole and Bourneouth.

The market town of Wareham is also a short drive away.

Or enjoy a trip to Corfe Castle on the Swanage Railway steam train.

You can enjoy all of this and more by booking Nine Barrow View.

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
